Description
La croisière commence à l'embarcadère touristique d'Ushuaïa, naviguant à travers le canal Beagle avec une vue panoramique sur la ville, y compris des monuments comme le musée maritime et le mont Olivia. Nous visitons les îles Bridges et débarquons à Karelo Island pour une randonnée facile. En continuant vers l'île de Los Lobos, nous observons les otaries dans leur habitat naturel. Ensuite, nous passons devant l'île de Los Pájaros, où se trouvent des cormorans magellaniques et impériaux, idéals pour l'observation des oiseaux. Nous atteignons ensuite le phare des Eclaireurs, près du site du naufrage du Monte Cervantes. Nous commençons la croisière, au départ de l'embarcadère touristique de la ville et direction le canal Beagle. En naviguant, nous profitons de la vue panoramique sur la côte d'Ushuaia. Nous repérons immédiatement les bâtiments les plus importants: le musée maritime (une ancienne prison), le musée de la fin du monde, la zone industrielle, et les monts Olivia et Cinco Hermanos. Nous nous dirigeons vers les îles Bridges, où nous faisons notre arrêt et débarquons à Karelo Island. Il est important de noter que la randonnée lors de cette visite est facile et accessible à tous.
Nous naviguons vers le sud-ouest, à l'approche de l'île de Los Lobos, où, depuis le bateau, nous pouvons profiter de la vue des otaries, en observant leur habitat permanent dans un cadre merveilleux.
Poursuivant notre voyage à travers le canal Beagle jusqu'au phare, nous nous dirigerons vers l'île de Los Pájaros, un habitat pour les cormorans de Magellan et les cormorans impériaux et un emplacement privilégié pour repérer les oiseaux marins.
Nous continuons jusqu'au phare des Eclaireurs, dans l'archipel du même nom, où le Monte Cervantes a fait naufrage en 1930. Après avoir profité de la croisière Beagle Channel jusqu'au phare, nous commençons notre voyage de retour. Le voyage de retour nous mènera à travers Paso Chico, surplombant Estancias Túnel et Fique. Nous retournons à Ushuaia, avec vue sur l'imposant mont Martial et le glacier du même nom que la ville. Nothing special. Just a few sealions but that’s it. No pinguïns. You can better spend your time on something else.
We were fortunate to enjoy a perfect day in autumn: bright sunshine and no wind, we sailed gently around the island to observe the friendly sea lions.
Great short excursion for our needs. We bought our tix off TripAdvisor. The tix clearly stated where our pickup location was. We arrived about 30 minutes prior at the pier hut and received our boarding passes and directions on where to locate our particular vessel. We board the Ezequial AB vessel which is an enclosed double decker catamaran with great viewing from inside. We saw a huge group of cormorants and the. On to the lighthouse where we saw the sea lions. There were many amazing photo opportunities. We also stopped at a small island to take photos of the Beagle Channel. The tour was 3 hours and departed and returned on time.
Do not book through Trip Advisor. You’ve been warned. Book directly at kiosks in Ushuaia in the wharf, ie Rumbo Sur, Tolkeyen, others. Trip Advisor outsources to “Gray Line” which does not exist as a tour provider, but contracts out again and does tell you who they contract out to. They never inform you who you need to approach about honoring your tickets. After 30 minutes of being tossed between all of the tour operators, one said they would honor the Trip Advisor tickets. By US standards, this would be considered fraud. If you can deal with the hassle of not knowing when you will be picked up at your hotel, and not knowing which operator will honor your tickets, the tour is otherwise wonderful and the scenery and wildlife is spectacular.

It’s a very expensive activity for what it offers: they take you by catamaran to a nearby island where there is a viewpoint that is nothing otherworldly, then they take you to a super small island where you can see the sea lions and cormorants, they leave you there 15 minutes to take photos and then they take you to see the lighthouse, which is not something otherworldly either, sincerely very boring and takes longer than it would actually take, but obviously they have to justify the cost. IT'S NOT WORTH IT...
When I booked with Viator I got a confirmation from the tour operator, Rumbo Sur. They advised there was no hotel pick up (though the tour description offered one), and that the stand where I was to collect my ticket from was only a few blocks away. Once I arrived and checked in I was given a laminated ticket with Rumbo Sur’s name on it, then was directed to join a queue beside a Rumbo Sur branded vessel. Turns out that was not the catamaran I had booked, and instead Rumbo Sur had outsourced to a much larger catamaran operated by TOLKEYEN PATAGONIA TURISMO, and had I booked with them in the first place I would have paid more than half (2400 pesos) of what paid on Viator (4500 pesos/USD $76)
<p>you do not see penguins on this tour. the boat was extremely crowded and you could not hear the information. we went on another tour the next day, and it was 4.5 hours this tour is actually only 2.5 hours and we got to see penguins and the boat is much nicer.</p>

<p>It was nice trip. The sea lions were so close to town. It was suprice to us. This trip was including pick up from the hotel, but it did not work out. Noone came to pick us up and it was very hard to get contact how was responsability of this tour. It is much cheaper to buy this tour from the harbour. In winter time the penguins are not around Ushuaia. That should be told before.</p>
