Great fun, wonderful wineries were selected and the tastings were not rushed. The pick up was on time.
Hi Sandra , thank you for your great review, and comment about not being rushed, I have modified the the itinerary this season to allow more time at each stop, your feed back really appreciated
Good little tour. Guide was very helpful and the door to door service was great. One of the vineyards was closed but was compensated with a bottle of wine 🍷
Hi Ian, thanks for your review, program has been adjusted due to a little over indulgence with 4 winery visits so now substitute one winery for Silky Oaks Chocolates
John was informative and friendly. The Mission was our first port of call. Initially run by monks/brothers it is an exquisite art deco building. The range of wines was huge and the young lady who ran the session knew her stuff. Two more wineries followed each having their own idiosyncratic touch. Organisation was flawless and Ross contacted us directly. I cannot recommend the tour highly enough - do it - what is not to like?
wow, great review, very informative thanks so much, I will pass it to John ( the first wine tour he has lead for me ) cheers Ross,
You might not get round all 4 wineries. And would recommend going on a full stomach. Provides an excellent overview of local wines and the reasons for limitations.
Thanks for your review Andrew, you were part of a happy group of 11 persons and logistically on the day it was appropriate to visit 3 wineries and avoid having to constantly rush the group along.
Really tasty wine and gin (it's easy to fall on crappy wine in NZ sadly), generous pours in every venue. Knowledgable, detailed explanations in every winery, and by Ross the guide throughout the way! The groups are small and intimate, so you don't feel like a cruise herd anywhere :) and the pickup/drop off from any point you are is really convenient.
Really enjoyed mission estate so much history couldn't do the gin tasting but another winery was pask which was just as nice.
Hi there, thank you for your good review, unfortunately the distillery was closed due to the manager being away on holiday so the problem was beyond my control. Cheers Ross
Had a wonderful afternoon with Ross, friendly, knowledgeable and very easy going made both me and my partner very happy. We visited 3 great vineyards. It is great that he ran the tour even though it was only the 2 of us. Thank you Ross, hopefully we visit again sometime soon - or hope you come visit Tasmania. S & A
Thanks for the great review and for being such fun and easy clients to host. I hope the balance of your week in NZ went well and Wellington obliged with good weather. Cheers Ross
Ross collected us from our hotel and whilst we were a group of five friends, three additional fun and friendly guests joined our tour. It was a very informative tour with lovely wines and exquisite gins. A great afternoon outing in Napier.
Thanks so much for the great review, yes it was good to see a mixed group gel so well. Cheers Ross
Lovely afternoon at some great wineries and a gin bar. Ross was a great host! Mission Winery was amazing
Hi Lia, thanks for the great review, too bad you missed Minnie and Molly, they made it home safe and sound but needed time in the shower to clean them up. Cheers Ross
Hands down the best guide for an intro to Napier's wine and gin experience: Mr Ross Lepper of Vine & Views Tours. We were lucky to get introduced to him by Napier's i-Visit information center through which we booked the afternoon tour Why is the experience with Ross unique and a must do - it's his passion for Agrifood sector of 30+years, I believe, his life in Napier and his personal touch, not to mention his knowledge, network with the local industry, and his personal touch of hospitality. If looking for a local wine tour in Napier, choose Ross. Thank you Ross for sharing your passion with us.
