Nagarkot est une destination touristique prisée en raison de la nécessité d’observer les vues majestueuses de la chaîne himalayenne entourant la vallée de Katmandou. Par temps clair, les sommets enneigés peuvent être visibles autour de la crête. Selon son nom, le village de Tamang est rempli de la communauté de Tamang qui est particulièrement connue pour être aimable et chaleureuse envers les étrangers. Généralement, leurs maisons en chaume sur trois étages sont construites par leurs artisans locaux. La vinification locale est également une pratique courante dans la région. La première partie de la randonnée rencontre l’aspect culturel tandis que la seconde partie est consacrée à la beauté naturelle et à la tranquillité. Comme Changunarayan est situé en hauteur, la vue sur la vallée très en contrebas peut être un témoin, de même que sur les collines et les chaînes de montagnes situées au-dessus.

I was picked up at 4:45 a.m. from my hotel in Thamel by my guide Ghan in a private vehicle and driver. About an hour later we arrived in Nagarkot. After the sunrise at the View Tower, we drove to a Nepalese restaurant in Nagarkot, where we had breakfast (noodle soup) and from there the hike to Changu Narayan started. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't see much of the sunset, but the subsequent hike was very beautiful and went through various villages and forests. Ghan was very informative and explained a lot. It was clear that my well-being and pleasure was important to him. We were back at my hotel in Thamel around 12:00 p.m. It was a great experience, even though we didn't see the sunrise.

The hiking was an amazing experience from start to finish. Watching the sunrise at Nagarkot was absolutely unforgettable. The breathtaking scenery created memories that will last a lifetime. The tour was impeccably organized. My tour guide Ghan was not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. This tour was a great way to spend a day outside the city. Ghan, our guide, was super fun and a great guy to spend time with. After an amazing sunrise looking at the Himalayas and a very good breakfast in a local restaurant, we went hiking for about 3:30h, where we had great views of the mountains and the valley. It was also a nice opportunity to see how is life in Nepal outside the city. Despite not being professional hikkers, we didn’t have any problem to complete the long walk. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Had a great time on the day hike. The sunrise was really enjoyable to watch with great views of the distant surrounding mountains with some awesome photo opportunities. Day hike wasn't too hard by any means and just really refreshing and a fantastic opportunity to see the local countryside. Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and just all around good company. I'd highly recommend it!

Fantastic trip, Ghan was really helpful and informative. The first half is downhill through villages and a temple. The trek then goes slightly Uphill, but is not too challenging. Breakfast was also tasty. Highly recommended!
