⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an awesome experience doing the e-bike waterfall tour! The bike operator was conveniently located and everyone was incredibly helpful from start to finish. They provided a really detailed map that made the route easy to follow, and we were able to see six amazing waterfalls along the way. Doing the waterfalls by e-bike was honestly one of the best parts. We didn’t have to worry about finding parking at each stop or constantly getting in and out of the car—we could just ride, enjoy the scenery, and stop at the waterfalls. Everyone we passed trying to find parking seemed jealous of our bikes! We ended up needing a little more time than planned to finish the route, and they were extremely accommodating and helpful about it, which we really appreciated. Such a fun and unique way to experience the waterfalls. Beautiful scenery, a great route, and a stress-free way to see so much in one day. We would absolutely recommend it!
Fun but very anxious riding along busy highway
This may be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had while traveling! Totally worth the price and the time. The scenery is so stunning and peaceful during the ride. The waterfalls are gorgeous and so easy to access. Hardly any hiking involved. And the owner of the e-bikes is so friendly and accommodating. He even gave us popsicles at the end of our ride. The path is shady and can be chilly in the morning. I’m glad I brought a sweatshirt. The bikes have a holder for a water bottle and my phone which was very nice. We were given an electronic and paper map, but we didn’t need either because the path is a straight shot. The largest waterfall has a gift shop, restaurant and bathrooms which is very nice as well. The whole experience is so beautiful and fun! You must do it.
Beautiful waterfalls combined with biking and hiking! Highly recommend! Shout out to John who instructed us with great knowledge. He gave us recommendations of other fun things we could do during our stay. He was very personable! I would recommend having some Ebike experience as you are traveling on roads with some traffic and limited bike lanes. Dress in layers as the hiking gets warm and the biking is cooler. Good hiking shoes and water bottles also recommended.
We did the half day tour which included a hike to the top of Multnomah Falls. The hike was amazing and the views were spectacular!! I would recommend a full day to really take in all the great falls as we ran out of time, but overall it’s something you should consider.
Beautiful area to bike in. Half day is a bit rushed to see everything so I'd do with the full day if I did it again. Only used an e-bike once before and these seemed underpowered in comparison but still adequate to the task.
We had so much fun riding from one waterfall to the next. The weather was perfect. I wish they had a bike only lane but it was still fun.
This was an absolute amazing way to see the falls and enjoy the e-bikes. It really was exhilarating to ride the bikes to each stop along the tour. They really need an interactive map that will track your progress and give you updates. Our directions were to turn left, left and left. While that worked, it would have been much more reassuring to have a map that updated in real time. The exit with the bikes are perilous. If they had the bikes at the bottom of the hill, it would be much safer. I would not do this tour if we had small children or even young teenagers. You have to share the road with all of the automobile traffic. The drivers were very courteous, but I would have not wanted my kids to ride w the danger of swerving in front of a car. The tour was perfect with a few recommendations.
Great bikes. You do ride on the road but speed limit is low. Great access to falls
I read other reviews and appreciated some of the comments. After booking there are good instructions. You are on the old highway then take a gravel road to get up to the storage barn, but it’s well marked. Brian was great at going over things and was patient when others had questions. If you can, it’s nice to have a backpack and some snacks/water for the trip. He did have a milk cart he strapped to the back of 2 bikes but not all have. It’s self guided and very easy to get along to each waterfall with the bike (saves the hassle of trying to park - which was real even on a not so busy day). We bought the 1/2 day tour and I read that some couldn’t make all the falls. This is pretty true - especially if you are not comfortable w/an e-bike and you do more than just “look” at the falls. We were slow to get going then took our time at the first 2 falls and then had to do some time management in order to get to the rest of the falls and return the bikes on time. Brian did have the option of upgrading to a full day when we got there since they were not fully booked (but we had other things planned so couldn’t stay). We hit 5 of the 6 falls on the guide and hit the 6th in our car on the way back to town since we saw the parking lot was not full as we passed. We also spent a long time at Multnomah Falls (stopped at gift shop), while fun - cut into our time. For an initial trip and to see it all quickly, would actually just recommend setting a timer. Seems silly and maybe not spontaneous, but the times are detailed about how long to get to each and to the falls and I think pretty accurate and could keep you on track to see it all. I just didn’t pay attention while AT each fall. Now that ive done it and seen several falls, I would totally go again on an all day ride with snacks/water and have time to do more hiking and would just pick and choose some falls. All the falls are unique and beautiful. So glad we did it. The E-bike pretty much tops out at 20 mph and the traffic wasn’t too bad on the road. There is quite a bit of shade so it can be a little chilly and temperature fluctuations from sun to shade. When biking back, trying to get up that gravel drive is for sure a challenge!!! I ended up just pushing up it, but could see how someone could fall over on a bike as they are heavy. Great overall experience!!!
