n un jour, vous aurez le temps de visiter deux endroits étonnants de notre région : Uplistsikhe, sans laquelle il est difficile d'imaginer le monde pré-chrétien et antique de la Géorgie, et Mtskheta, sans laquelle il est impossible de comprendre l'ère du christianisme primitif. et le Moyen Age. En visitant les villes, vous tracerez visuellement le chemin parcouru par la Géorgie depuis le début de l'âge du bronze jusqu'à l'adoption du christianisme.

Itinéraire
Notre promenade commence par A. Pouchkine, M. Lermontov, P. Tchaïkovski, A. Dumas-père, L. Tolstoï et beaucoup d'autres. En quittant le chemin, vous passerez par les endroits où se sont développés les événements décrits par Lermontov dans le célèbre poème «Mtsyri» et vous monterez au temple Jvari du VIème siècle. Vous pourrez y admirer une vue enchanteresse de Mtskheta: « ... où le bruit se confond, étreignant, comme si deux sœurs, les jets d'Aragva et du Kura ... "
Temples de Mtskheta Vous visiterez la cathédrale Svetitskhoveli (pilier de la vie) - la cathédrale patriarcale de l'Église orthodoxe géorgienne. Familiarisez-vous avec son histoire et les événements importants du passé. Voici le lieu de sépulture des sanctuaires du christianisme - la tunique de Jésus-Christ et le manteau d'Elie le Prophète, ainsi que les reliques de saint André le Premier Appelé.
Passé païen dans les grottes d'Uplistsikhe Une courte route vers le nord-ouest - et vous vous retrouverez dans une ville troglodytique de la fin du II - le début du premier millénaire av. J'ai étudié beaucoup de notes sur cet endroit insolite, et je vais vous en dire tout le plus intéressant. En explorant les labyrinthes de pierre des salons et des buanderies, vous imaginerez la vie des païens et leurs rites cultuels. Vous en apprendrez davantage sur le commerce de l'Uplistsikhe avec les anciens États d'Urartu et de Médie, sur son apogée et son déclin. Il offre également de magnifiques panoramas sur la vallée de la Koura. Prix du billet supplémentaire 15 GEL Nous visiterons un restaurant local où vous dégusterez des produits locaux. Dans la deuxième partie du voyage, à la demande du groupe, vous pourrez visiter le musée Staline dans sa ville natale de Gori. Dans les salles de tout le panthéon du musée, vous verrez la sculpture préservée de Staline, ses effets personnels et son mobilier - le guide du musée organisera une excursion. Had a great day with tour guide Paata! Visited the oldest Orthodox church in Mtskheta, the cave town in Uliscikh and the amazing ancient defensive fortress on the mountain in Gori! Thanks to Paata, we have learned many new and interesting things! It was also time to take a walk around the local fair, buy spices, churchelas, wines. We had lunch at a restaurant with delicious local dishes! The tour was very informative and rich! Thank you, Paata!

We were recently on a tour with Paat's guide - and it was a real journey through the eras. The route is structured so that you literally go from antiquity through the Middle Ages and gradually find yourself in the realities of the Soviet past. It's really cool how Paata connects different historical periods into one coherent story - without dry facts, but with living details, legends and unexpected twists. Separately, I would like to note that the tour took place in a mixed group, and Paata led it equally easily and interestingly in both languages - Russian and English - without leaving anyone behind. Travelled by comfortable minibus for about 15 people, which made the trip convenient and allowed to see more places without rush. We visited Jwari, Gori, Uplistsikhe and Mtskheta - and thanks to Paata's stories, these places are revealed as a single historical line, where each era logically flows to the next. Particularly liked that the tour is not overloaded with dates, but more about understanding context and feeling time - history really comes alive. Paata is a charismatic and attentive guide who can adjust to the interests of the group and answers any questions. Definitely one of those excursions, after which you take a different look at the history of the region. I recommend it!
