Ryu was very knowledgeable and accommodating during the trip. He gave us options to adjust our itinerary when possible. He provided historical information at every stop and throughout the ride. He made recommendations for food and activities at each site/location. We will ask for Ryu again.

As someone who lived in Japan for a few years, I really appreciated Prem’s knowledge and insights. Since we spoke English, he was an excellent bridge when communicating with Japanese speakers and was very well spoken. He was also incredibly helpful, even taking the time to show us how to navigate the train stations and use the ticket machines, taken family photos. We packed so much sightseeing and so many great experiences into just one day. Prem was our guide today. He showed up promptly to pick us up from the hotel. He asked for our input to tailor the itinerary to fit our expectations. He was very very kind and patient. The car was comfortable and he was a skilled driver. Towards the end, my daughter and I got off at the wrong station using the cable car and he was kind enough to drive an additional 15 minutes to come rescue us. I enjoyed the laid back pace of the trip. He gave helpful information throughout the tour. We had a lovely day. My daughter is a teenager and she really enjoyed the trip and appreciated the slower, laid back pace where we didn’t feel rushed from one site to another. I highly recommend Prem and this trip by visitor.

Our day out included a 3 hour shopping and lunch at Gotemb outlets shops, a ride on Hakone Ropeway, a cruise on Lake Ashi and finally returned to Tokyo on shikansen bullet train from Odawara station.

The tour guide customized our tour exactly to our needs—very well paced and comfortable. We were even able to see spots that were not as busy and beat all the bus crowds. He always asked us if we needed anything-very accommodating. This beats taking large tour group buses as you can stay as long as you need at certain spots and have pick up at your hotel too! No need to deal with transfers and such.

We had an amazing time during our full one day trip, touring various sites and shrines between Tokyo and Hakone while enjoying the views of majestic Mount Fuji . They don’t tell you you have to have a lot of cash on hand for the different parts of the tour that only take cash. Be sure to bring plenty. My guide told us nothing about what we were seeing so I didn’t feel like I even had a tour after spending all that money on it. The only positive thing was that he was a good driver.

Japan is still largely a cash-based society in 2026, particularly in rural areas, smaller shops, and at temples or shrines, although digital payments have become widespread in major cities. While cards and mobile payments are accepted at convenience stores and restaurants, carrying cash—especially small denominations—is an essential responsibility for any traveler navigating daily transactions in a foreign country. Additionally, we must note that your itinerary was scheduled to conclude at Odawara Station. However, midway through the tour, the decision was made to return by car instead of using the planned drop-off point, despite the extra fees associated with this change in service not being covered. We take all feedback seriously and will continue to work on making our service information as clear as possible for our guests.
