We had the best experience doing Ijen and Lucky was an amazing guide! He was so friendly, helpful and made the whole experience so much fun. He looked after us the entire way and made sure we got to all the best spots and views. Such an incredible experience and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thank you Lucky! ❤️
The trip has been amazing, with the essential support of Rahman as a guide. Despite the long way to arrive (2h from the meeting point to the top of the mountain by walk) the view and also the experience worths the effort. Even though the blue lava fire is not natural (at the moment) it still remains a unique experience (also including the sunrise from the top). It’s not required to be trained but for sure a lot of physical effort. In addition the guide (Rahman) has been really kind to support our group, taking care of all, during the trip and taking amazing photos.
Highly recommend!! Rahman was our tour guide and he was amazing. Everything was arranged for us - we got picked up from our hotel in Bali and dropped off at the ferry port where Rahman met us. The ride to and from Ijen was also already organised, as well as ferry back and the ride back to our Bali hotel. I never book tours online. I always book tours in person through the hotel/hostel so this was my first time booking through tripadvisor. this company made it so easy that I didn’t have to think. I will be recommending them to everyone. Thank you, Rahman. From Alliza and Aljon (Rahman is also an incredible photographer)
Our trip to Mount Ijen from Bali was a truly unforgettable experience, thanks to our amazing team, Rahman and Rico! The Itinerary & Hike • Pickup & Transit: The journey started with a seamless transfer from Bali over to Java via ferry. • Homestay & Early Start: We stayed at a nearby homestay to rest up before the big night. Wakeup was at 00:00 midnight, followed by a 1-hour drive to the trailhead. • The Hike: The night trek is challenging but manageable. Reaching the top to witness the electric blue fire and a stunning sunrise over the crater was pure magic — well worth every step despite the large crowds. Special Thanks to Our Guide and Driver • Rahman (Our Guide): Extremely friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. His passion for East Java brought so much joy and excitement to our entire trip! • Rico (Our Driver): Kept us safe, comfortable, and right on schedule throughout the long drive.
Very nice guide that helps you with all needs, friendly, and knows how to take good pictures and videos😁😎🤟 Totally worth to visit!
We did the Mount Ijen Tour with Java Adventure Trail for the second time, the first time in 2019 and we were very excited again. In advance, Sofyan answered all our questions and advised us well. As a guide we had Dhani who picked us up at the ferry at night with a big smile. Dhani was a great guide and we are very glad he did the tour with us! He told us a lot and it felt like we were out with a good friend. He also took great care of us and we always felt safe! From gas masks to flashlights to tea at sunrise, everything was taken care of. Also our driver Rico was super nice! In general, we were very happy that we did the tour again and can only recommend it!
The decission to travel to Ijen with Dhani was literally the best decession of our entire trip. We left from pemuteran with our nice driver Arya and everything is taken care of. We met Dhani before the ferry and from that point he escorded us the entire way. He is the nicest guide we’ve met so far!
We had a great trip to Mount Ijen with the best guide. Everything was set up perfectlh. Pick up and drop off from the villa aswell. Everything to a very fair price
Mine Blue Flame Volcano Tour was an unforgettable adventure! Even though the blue flame was very small than I hoped that night, the experience was still magical — watching the first light of sunrise over the crater and feeling the energy of the volcano was something truly special. Mine guide, Hamid, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, making sure that I felt safe and comfortable during the climb. He explained everything about the volcano, and the natural wonders of the area , the miners who work long hours in harsh conditions: smoke, toxic gases, steep terrain, and extreme heat .Miners carry heavy baskets of sulfur, often 50–90 kg per trip, down the crater to sell. A huge thank you as well to our drivers, Wasis and Adi, for being so friendly, patient, and professional — the long drive felt easy and enjoyable thanks to their good energy and smiles. Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable trip, full of warmth, care, and adventure — even if nature decided to keep her blue flames a bit shy that night. 💙
Hamid (my guide) and Nuril (the driver) were absolutely amazing—I honestly consider them friends now! I wasn’t sure what to expect, besides seeing the blue flames at Mt. Ijen, but this tour was so much more. We ate at local street vendors, and Hamid seemed to know everyone—he encouraged me to taste fresh fruits before buying and always made sure I got a fair price. Hamid shared so much about the culture, the miners, and the volcano, and truly went above and beyond in every way. The hike was tough at times, but he encouraged breaks, carried my backpack, had me hold his hand for balance down uneven surfaces, as well as taught me local phrases, and took so many beautiful photos along the way. This experience was unforgettable, all thanks to Hamid and Nuril!
