Bucket List experience

Exactly as advertised. You do need to pack your own water and food that you must carry. Guides were super helpful and as we got to Checkpoint 5 to quickly we stopped there for 90minutes and they made us coffee and a fire before summiting before sunrise.

Mount Agung long trek - thoroughly recommend!

I completed the hike via the long route starting at the temple. We began hiking around 11pm. We breaked for 2 hours 2:30-4:30am and summited at 6am. We then started our descent at 7am and completed the hike at 9:30am. The views at the top are stunning. The sunrise with Mount Rinjani in the distance are superb. My guide was extremely helpful and I enjoyed the experience very much. They also organised for a driver to collect and drop me off to and from Padang Bai. The hike itself is quite gruelling and would require decent fitness, but previous hiking experience not essential. Several people did turn back but they did not have the required level. The descent was particularly tough in my opinion, very steep and slippery for the first 1.5 hours on tired legs. It does then get easier as it’s less steep and you get into the rhythm again.

11/10 Sidequest

The guides were great; 2 out of 4 made it to the summit, while 2 spent the night at Base Camp 3. Highly recommended for athletic people with mountaineering experience, but the hike should not be underestimated. Preparation should not be underestimated, and a good night’s sleep beforehand should be planned for.

Great but also challenging tour

It was truly an unforgettable experience. We chose the ascent via the Besakih Long Route. The ascent is about 2000 meters and takes place on unpaved paths. If one has the necessary endurance, it is truly a beautiful tour. Our driver was punctual and took us well to the start of the hike and back again. The guide was polite and always kept us on the right path (which is not so easy with the many forks in the forest). I would really recommend a guide for this tour. We were a bit too fast and would have reached the summit before sunrise. Therefore, the guide cut down a dry tree and made a fire, where we could warm ourselves and bridge the extra time. The time by the fire with the sparkling lights of Bali beneath us was simply magical. We then continued in good time and reached the summit just in time for sunrise. A truly great moment!

Fantastic operator, excellent value for money

Awesome experience, definitely recommend. Very easy to communicate with, everything was done on WhatsApp. My driver Agus was puncture and friendly, went out of his way to accommodate my requests for stops and gave me fantastic food recommendations. I couldn’t have done the trek without Ketut as my guide, who was patient and well prepared, very experienced and knowledgeable. Thanks once again for the unforgettable experience

Mount Agung - solo

Had an amazing experience during the Mount Agung trek. Suryaaa, who was the driver that picked us up and dropped us back, was super friendly, respectful, and always on time. He also shared a lot of useful local tips and recommendations which made the whole experience even better and smoother. The trekking guide was also really experienced and helpful throughout the entire Mount Agung trek. They guided us properly the whole way, made sure everyone was safe and comfortable, and were very patient and supportive during the difficult parts of the climb. You can tell they really know the mountain well and have a lot of experience. Overall, everything was very well organized and professional. If I book another trek or tour in Bali again, I would definitely choose them again and highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Well organised and beautiful, gruelling trek

Great organisation with transport, our driver Surya was lovely and met the perfect balance of talking and letting us have space when tired. Was in contact before the trip so we had confidence in arriving on time. Our guide was great, a little quick in the beginning but kept an eye on us the whole time making sure we were taking the right paths and helped plan timings to the top. The summit was spectacular and certainly worth all the effort. Having a guide helped pass all the checkpoints at the start and know how we fell in place on the trail. It was quite busy but everyone was lovely and had a fire set up on the penultimate checkpoint which was lovely whilst we waited out the time to summit. Surya was amazing on the way back, waiting for us and made sure the trip home was smooth (so much so we managed to both sleep during the trip to Ubud)
