Was a top cooking course I definitely recommend it, good food
What a special and warm experience we had yesterday in Rabat. ❤️ During the cooking workshop we not only learned to make delicious traditional dishes, such as rfissa, but we were also really introduced to Moroccan culture and traditions. We learned the authentic way to prepare Moroccan tea and enjoyed fresh inkan bread and delicious amlou. What made this day extra special was the enormous hospitality of Anouar, his mother and aunt. From the first moment we felt welcome and were received with so much warmth and love. It felt like we were visiting family. Cooking together, laughing, sharing stories and then enjoying all the goodies at the table was an experience to remember. Perhaps the best moment was being allowed to wear the beautiful Amazigh clothing and traditional jewelry. This made us feel completely part of this rich culture and beautiful tradition. Thank you so much for this unforgettable memory. This experience was so much more than just a cooking workshop — it was a meeting full of warmth, culture, connection and beautiful moments. An absolute must for anyone who wants to experience Morocco in an authentic way. 🇲🇦✨
We were well received everything was explained wellI learned a lot and did nice things the food was really very tasty it was also really nice to make the food because I hrb never done it and it was really very nice and tasty and the guide anouar we could talk to well.
What an amazing experience. We have been warmly welcomed by Anouar and his mother and taken into their food culture. We were able to indicate in advance what we wanted to make. It became a salty/sees tagine as a main course. Step by step we were taken into the cooking process. And besides that we made the best bread and delicious peanut butter ourselves. And since cooking and eating is a social process in Morocco, that was also an important part of our experience. Anouar thank you so much for this valuable experience and our lovely conversations. We wish you and your family every success with your future plans. With your attention and love for your guests and for the Moroccan culture it will definitely be a success!!
Thank you so much, Esther! 🧡 What a beautiful review, it truly made me smile. I'm so glad you and your group enjoyed the sweet/savory tagine, the bread, the Amlou, and most of all, the conversations and connection we shared around the table. It was a real pleasure cooking with you and sharing our culture. Thank you for your kind words and your wishes, they mean a lot to me and my family. You're always welcome back on our rooftop! Warmly, Anouar & Family 🇲🇦
An amazing experience with the Moroccan mother and son. Tradition shines through in everything they do, and the food was absolutely delicious. We learned how to make traditional Moroccan bread, mint tea, peanut butter, and an unforgettable tagine. The hospitality is exceptional—you’ll leave with a full stomach, and the flavors will stay with you for a long time. The son of the family is a creative genius who has turned this concept into something truly special. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience. A 100% must-do!
Thank you so much, Arjan! 🧡 "Explosion of taste and tradition" that's honestly one of the best compliments we've ever received. I'm so glad you felt the tradition and passion in every dish, from the bread to the tagine. And thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to hear that you enjoyed not just the food, but the experience we've built. Sharing our culture with guests like you is what makes this so meaningful. You're always welcome back on our rooftop! Warmly, Anouar & Family 🇲🇦
My daughters and I had a wonderful time with Anouar and his mother and aunt! Not only did we make a fabulous dinner together (bastilla, Moroccan mint tea, amply, Inkan bread) we learned a lot about Moroccan and Amazigh culture. Anouar is a skilled communicator and an excellent host. His mother and her sister are delightful, fun, and skilled cooks. They were so excited to share their traditions with us. We left with full bellies, warmed hearts, and satisfied souls!
Thank you so much! 🧡 It was such a joy having you and your daughters on our rooftop. I'm so glad you enjoyed the Bastilla, the bread, the tea, and everything in between, and that you felt the warmth of my mother and aunt. They were truly touched by your kind words. Leaving with full bellies and warmed hearts is exactly what we hope for every guest. You're always welcome back to our home! Warmly, Anouar & Family 🇲🇦
We had an excellent time. We were warmly welcomed in a family setting. The explanations were clear. The place is very beautiful. We recommend this wonderful experience 100%!
Merci beaucoup, Kathleen ! Bien chaleureusement, Anouar & Famille 🇲🇦
My husband and I booked this experience during a weekend trip to Rabat, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our visit to Morocco. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate, it is worth every cent. From the moment we arrived, Anouar made us feel incredibly welcome. His English is perfect, which made everything easy and allowed us to have genuine conversations throughout the afternoon. What really sets this experience apart is that it doesn’t feel like a tourist activity, it feels like being welcomed into a family’s home and sharing a piece of their daily life and culture. We had the pleasure of meeting Anouar’s father, Abdellah, his mother, Samira, and his sister-in-law, Nawal. Every member of the family was warm, kind, and eager to share their traditions with us. Together, we learned how to make homemade peanut butter and prepared a delicious chicken and vegetable couscous completely from scratch. We were also taught how to prepare traditional Moroccan tea, a skill we’ve continued to use since returning home. The experience was wonderfully hands-on, and we were involved in preparing the meal before sitting down to enjoy it together. One of the best aspects was the amount of time spent simply talking. We learned so much about Moroccan culture, family life, traditions, and everyday customs. Anouar answered every question we had with patience, openness, and genuine enthusiasm. As an added bonus, we also had the opportunity to try on traditional Moroccan wedding attire, which was a fantastic cultural experience and made for some wonderful memories and photos. In fact, Anouar took photos throughout and sent them to us, which is a really lovely momento of our time with them. What made this experience so special was the authenticity. There was no sense of being rushed or following a script. Instead, it felt like spending an afternoon with friends while learning about a fascinating culture through food, conversation, and hospitality. We’ve done many tours and activities while travelling, and this stands out as one of the best we’ve ever experienced. It wasn’t just a cooking class, it was a genuine cultural exchange and a memory we will treasure for years to come. Thank you, Anouar, Abdellah, Samira, and Nawal, for your incredible hospitality. We left with full stomachs, new skills, a deeper understanding of Moroccan culture, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you so much Erin! 🧡 Reading this truly touched all of us, my father Abdellah, my mother Samira, my sister-in-law Nawal, and me. We're so happy that your weekend trip to Rabat ended with such a meaningful memory. Knowing that you still make Moroccan tea at home makes us smile, that's exactly what we hope for: not just a meal, but skills and stories you carry with you. You and your husband were wonderful guests, curious, kind, and open to everything. It felt like sharing an afternoon with old friends. Thank you again for your beautiful words. You will always be welcome on our rooftop. Warmly, Anouar & Family 🇲🇦
This was a truly wholesome and amazing experience. The host and their family treat you like their own, creating a warm, genuine home feel. We loved getting our hands dirty making tagine, peanut butter paste, and mint tea from scratch. Watching the Mama prepare fresh butter and couscous was beautiful, and everything tasted delicious. Their home is a lovely setting for the activity. Getting to dress up in traditional wear made it even more special and fun. Do not miss this!
Thank you so much, Angela! 🧡 We're so happy you and Jithin had such a wholesome time on our rooftop. You really embraced every part of the experience, from getting your hands dirty making tagine and Amlou to dressing up in traditional wear with so much joy. And yes, Mama was so touched to read that you enjoyed her prepare the fresh butter and BERKOUKS (the amazigh couscous). Those little touches come straight from her heart. You're always welcome back to our home! Warmly, Anouar & Family 🇲🇦
Outstanding experience! The entire family was incredibly warm, welcoming, and hospitable, creating a truly authentic, homely atmosphere from start to finish. Making traditional tagine, peanut butter, and mint tea completely from scratch was highly engaging and rewarding. Every single thing we made tasted absolutely amazing. To top it off Mama thoughtfully surprised us with delicious couscous and incredible homemade, creamy butter, which was a beautiful and unexpected gesture. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a genuine, interactive, and delicious cultural experience!
Thank you so much, Jithin! 🧡 Reading this truly made my mother smile, especially because you mentioned her couscous and homemade butter. She puts so much love into those little surprises. I'm really glad you and Angela felt the warmth of our family and enjoyed every step of the experience, from grinding Amlou to pouring tea. You're always welcome back to our rooftop! Warmly, Anouar & Family 🇲🇦
