We had a great day at the D-Day sites and Mont St Michel. Jacques was a great guide - very informative and took good care of us all day.
This is a wonderful adventure! Jacques, our guide, was a pleasure to be with. Keep in mind this is a long day but you will have rest time while traveling by train and car. I would recommend taking snacks & drinks. Our driver had one small water per person and this wasn’t enough for the day. Our picnic lunch was at a gas station, but the food was tasty! This trip will never be forgotten!
Wow! I can’t say enough great things about this tour. Our guide Jacques was very punctual and so kind and we were so happy to travel with him. He took time to put together some informative materials so we could learn more along the way. It was fun to ride the train and everything with travel went very smoothly. Our driver, Antonio also did a great job and kept everything well on schedule. It was great to visit Normandy and experience a powerful and important part of history. And Mont St- Michel was magical. If you want to see it all, be mindful that there is a lot of stairs and walking involved but definitely worth it. We never felt rushed. The only thing which could have been better was time for meals. We got picked up around 5:30am and really only had time to grab a quick coffee and pastry. Lunch is not a picnic and instead was at a gas station. Although we could do chips and a sandwich or whatever we wanted, options were limited and certainly not as good as ordering at a restaurant and having something freshly prepared. We also didn’t have anything built in for dinner and we got back after 9pm. There is a lot of travel time on the tour and it is a long day. I still would recommend however especially if you want to see both areas and have limited time. Having a private tour guide was extremely valuable!
All details of the trip were taken care of through the tour company. Our drivers were very pleasant. The only drawback was the car was small for four people (two teenagers) and I would have wished for more information throughout the tour. If you want to be able to experience both locations, this tour is great.
To sleep I do not recommend, as there is only 2 restaurant after 18 hs. We went to sleep without eating. The restaurants only accept reservations and serve very poorly. If you don't have a reservation, there's no talk. Several people were left without food at the hotel. There's no food in the hotels. To walk is good but not to sleep. The Abbey has nothing exceptional. Only the very story.

It was a long day but we knew that ahead of time. All plans were sent to our hotel the day before and printed for us. We had several drivers and all were prompt, polite, and helpful. Everything went to plan!
The tour company was amazing they kept us informed of the upcoming trip including a slight delay returning on the train, they text to inform me as the train conductor did not speak English. They entire team was punctual, friendly. The personal car service was very confortable. We enjoyed the 1:1 experience and time the guide Adil provided. We had time to digest the wealth of history being shared. He was knowledgeable and friendly. The experience was great.
Thank you for your kind words. We always do our best to bring assistance to our customers. We are so sorry for the delay of the train. We know that it is a busy day. All our best
This is a long tour, but it’s totally worth it. We were picked up at our hotel by a nice driver, same guy who picked us up at night to bring us back to our hotel. He stayed with us until we boarded the train to ensure we got in the right one and was there when we arrived at night. Belinda was amazing as our tour guide in Normandy through the D-day beaches and important spots and to Mont Saint Michel. She introduced us to Collin in Omaha Beach who was a walking encyclopedia about all things world war. Belinda was very informative, funny, kind and sweet all day and a good driver. You don’t get to have a real lunch, you pick up food at a big gas station which sells souvenirs and has clean bathrooms. It’s a lot to cram in one day so just be prepared and you’ll love it as much as we did.
Thank you. We really like your review. It is our best reward. Rgds
