Description
Mindo est une ville située au nord-ouest de Quito, à 2 heures de route. La forêt nuageuse possède une incroyable diversité de faune aviaire, en particulier de colibris, ainsi que de papillons. Cette zone de forêt primaire dotée d'une immense biodiversité présente également l'un des taux d'endémisme végétal les plus élevés au monde: orchidées, broméliacées, héliconias, fougères, vignes, mousses et lichens y poussent en abondance.

Itinéraire
Dans la matinée, nous serons pris en charge à notre hôtel par notre chauffeur-guide pour prendre le nord-ouest de Quito en direction de Mindo, l'une des forêts de nuages les plus visitées d'Équateur. Arriver à Mindo nous prendra environ 2 heures, une fois arrivés dans la ville, nous visiterons un endroit idéal pour admirer de nombreuses espèces de colibris. Le prochain arrêt est au jardin des papillons où nous verrons les 4 étapes de la vie des papillons, entourés de 1200 papillons colorés en même temps. Notre prochain point est la chocolaterie artisanale; ici, vous aurez l'occasion de connaître le processus pour produire un délicieux chocolat pur à partir de la fève de cacao. Si nous avons le temps, il y a une chance de s'amuser en faisant Canopy (Zip-Line/facultatif). Enfin, nous retournons à Quito.
Pour ceux qui ont peu de temps et qui n'ont pas pu visiter Middle of the World, nous pouvons nous arrêter à cet endroit sur le chemin du retour de Mindo sans frais supplémentaires (frais d'entrée NON inclus), veuillez simplement noter cette demande et nous le rendrons possible.

This day trip has it all! We did the cable car (tarabita), hiked to the waterfalls, and finished with an amazing chocolate tour. Doing it as a private trip meant we could customize our itinerary and stay longer at the spots we loved.
We spend the morning surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, then transition back to the city with a stop at the equator. It’s a lot of ground to cover, but the private transport makes the logistics seamless and much easier than trying to coordinate local buses.
It was an incredibly special day with Mijael. He was SO passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip, from the plants and nature to geography and mythology. We loved chatting with him, exploring the stunning town of Mindo, and enjoying a waterfall hike. The tour felt relaxed , peaceful, fun and educational. Thanks for organizing a memorable day!

My family & I had an excellent English speaking guide in Quito. We spent 3 days with Kevin. We visited Quito, the center of the earth, the Mindo cloud forest, went zip lining and the Otavalo market. Kevin spent over 10 hours with us each day, he hiked with us and took us to a great chocolate farm and good restaurant. He was accommodating, pleasant and knowledgeable. I enjoyed photographing the numerous hummingbirds. Very colorful. Also learning how chocolate was made was interesting. Seeing the butterfly farm was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And the orchid farm was amazing.
