Natalia was a delight. She was so friendly and informative during our tour. Her knowledge of Moldovan history and culture was of great interest to us. We give her our highest recommendation and would seek her out again if we returned to Chisinau.
An unforgettable excursion to Mileștii Mici! We were completely delighted with the trip to the wine cellars of Mileștii Mici! The impressions started from the beginning thanks to our driver Vlad – he is an amazing professional. The ride was very comfortable, neat and enjoyable, and Vlad himself created a wonderful, light atmosphere from the first minutes of the journey. The tasting itself took place at the highest level. Excellent, delicious and thoughtful snacks were served, which perfectly emphasized the taste of each wine. A huge and very pleasant surprise was the musical: accompaniment: for us played real musicians, which gave the evening an incredible flavor, coziness and special chic. Thank you so much for this high level of organization and for the emotions that will stay with us for a long time! Be sure to recommend this tour to all friends and acquaintances. Vladu is a special thank you!
Natalia was an amazing guide! We had a fantastic time, milestii mici is absolutely beautiful
When visiting Chisinau, it is a given that you must visit the largest wine cellar in the world (as per Guiness Book of Records)., which is located about 10km from the city. The cavernous cellar lies 65m below ground and the length of the galleries is about 200km, There are over 1.5 million bottles of wine stored here together with numerous oak wine casks. Prior to taking the tour, it is possible to enjoy a coffee in the super clean cafe and to use the facilities. The four hour tour takes place on electric golf buggies towing a trailer and they are individually divided by language ie Romanian, Russian and English. English being the dominant language of Western Europe creates a tour of mixed nationalities. You learn about the history of wine making in the Chisinau area, in particular, and its unique characteristics. We saw the sealed racks belonging to private wine investors and also the wine room used by sommeliers who curate the wines for their restaurants. At the end of the tour, you are seated for wine tasting and provided with glasses of red, white and dessert wines together with individual plates of local meats, nuts and fruits. This is accompanied by two gentlemen playing an accordion and a fiddle. Following the tasting, you can proceed to the shop and purchase a variety of local wines and chocolates. Wine from Moldova is exported primarily to China and Japan and rarely to the UK!! As you are underground, where the temperature is a constant 12C, it is recommended that you wear warm clothing!!
Easy and smooth experience visiting Milestii Mici. Everything was well coordinated, and I appreciated the flexibility, friendliness, and kindness shown by the driver/guide throughout the trip. Just note that this is more of a transport service than a guided tour—the winery itself provides the tasting and explanations, but there isn’t additional storytelling or guiding during the drive. Overall, a very convenient way to visit the winery.
Fascinating tunnel travel with explanations of the various wine collections. Not your standard wine tour of “how we make it”. Lovely wine tasting of three wines with nice snacks and Moldavian music. Nathalie a lovely articulate guide. Recommend this tour to others!
The underground winery tour at Milesti Michi was truly amazing! The sight of countless wine barrels lined up in an underground tunnel over 200km long is like being lost in the wine kingdom. The guides were also attentive and enjoyed explaining the history of winemaking and the unique characteristics of Moldova. At the final tasting, you can enjoy white, red and dessert wines. If you're visiting Moldova, this is a must-see spot.
Natalie was a very good guide, she tells many information, drive good and save. So she is 100% a good guide
