Le parc national de Mikumi se trouve le long de la frontière nord de la plus grande réserve animalière d'Afrique - le SELOUS - formant un écosystème unique. Les horizons ouverts et la faune abondante de la plaine inondable de Mkata, la pièce maîtresse à la mode de Mikumi, établissent de fréquentes comparaisons avec les plus célèbres plaines du Serengeti. Certains lions tachetés surveillent leur royaume herbeux et les troupeaux de zèbres, de girafes, d'éléphants, de gnous, d'impalas et de buffles migrent à travers le parc. Cette visite commence à l'aéroport de Zanzibar à 07h00 et arrive à la piste d'atterrissage de Mikumi à 08h00, reçue par notre guide safari. Directement, vous commencerez un safari dans la région riche en gibier des plaines de Mkata. La plaine est très réputée pour ses concentrations d'animaux sauvages. Aussi, visite de la célèbre piscine Hippo où beaucoup viennent boire de l'eau. Un déjeuner chaud à l'heure du déjeuner continue ensuite votre voyage à la découverte des buissons africains avant de retourner à la piste d'atterrissage vers 15h30 pour votre vol de retour vers Zanzibar.

Paschal was an incredible guide!! We saw SO many animals!! He took extra care in not bothering the animals but getting us as close as possible and giving us plenty of time to view. He truly cares for his customers AND the animals. His personality and vast knowledge kept everyone informed and entertained. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable and the lunch was very good. We are well traveled and are sometimes hard to please but this experience was top notch start to finish!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely amazing safari experience with Fidelis in Mikumi National Park! He truly made our trip unforgettable. Fidelis went above and beyond to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. His experience and incredible knowledge of the park were obvious from the very beginning — he knew exactly where to go and was constantly looking for the best wildlife sightings. What made him especially wonderful was how much he cared about our experience. He always made sure we had the best possible position for photos, patiently waited when we wanted to take pictures, and did everything he could to make every moment special. Fidelis is professional, knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what he does. We felt incredibly lucky to have him as our guide. He didn’t just take us on a safari — he made the safari! We cannot recommend Fidelis highly enough. We visited Mikumi National Park in August 2026 and were thrilled! The jeeps are ready right at the runway and the safari can start. Our guide's name was Nixon and he was extremely knowledgeable! No matter what animal characteristics or plants/trees we asked him about, Nixon could explain something to us about them. He communicated via radio with the other guides, and so we were able to see an abundance of animals and also had very close animal encounters, such as lions crossing the road in front of our jeep and also several herds of elephants that passed by us in complete calm. There were chilled drinks and cookies available in the jeep. Around noon we took a break and were able to refresh ourselves at a small buffet. Nixon discovered animals that we would not have seen without him. For example, we also saw a leopard lying in a tree in the distance. The safari was an unforgettable experience and we absolutely recommend it!

This was an amazing safari day trip in Mikumi. We saw lion families and a lot of different animals. We came close to the leopard in a tree as well. Our guide Fidelis is expirienced and was the perfect one for us.

The experience from start to finish was amazing, we saw everything we wanted to, lunch was lovely and amusing with free roaming monkeys. We were well looked after, we even had baby elephants join us at lunch briefly. Our guide was felix and he was the best! We were surprised with a cake and African songs from all the staff on safari, all guides joined in to celebrate my partners 50th birthday- we had no idea this was going to happen and it was incredible. Amazing team!

We had an unforgettable safari in Mikumi, and a huge part of that was because of our guide, Felix. From the very beginning, it was clear how passionate he is about his job.
