Visite médiévale à pied de Chester

Description

Our guide was very knowledgeable and considerate of the older members of our group and kept the pace at a level that everyone was able to keep up.
Fantastic tour, the guide mixed historical knowledge, quirky facts, humour and speed of delivery brilliantly. The mix of walking and standing well managed and the places chosen to stop left sufficient room for the group to listen and people to pass by without been hindered. The guides scope of knowledge amazing. Can't recommend this tour enough. Still dizzy with all the knowledge
Brilliant walking tour with Steven the archer this afternoon. Very knowledgeable guide, well spoken and could be heard by the whole group which was no mean feat on a busy, loud Chester city centre on a Saturday afternoon! He obviously enjoys his subject and it showed. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it for any ages. The tour was well worth the money and lasted a lot longer than other tours we've been on. Thanks Steven!
Thomas was a very knowledgeable guide and a great storyteller. We learned so much about medieval Chester and would recommend it to everyone!
Our guide appeared in period costume dressed as a medieval archer. He gave us an excellent tour of medieval Chester. His knowledge of the topic was very evident and the information was presented in an engaging way. I greatly appreciated that the guide kept the focus on history and did not burden the tour with any of his personal political opinions about contemporary events as some guides do. Overall, this was a great tour which I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the history of Chester.
Led brilliantly by Richard Fletcher a couple of weekends ago. Made this tour so fun and engaging with his vast knowledge and amusing delivery. Thank-you to Richard Fletcher for making this a lot of fun! I was solo but part of a big group and I got the impression everyone enjoyed this tour :)
I did the tour today as I had a few hours to spare in Chester. I found the young bowman dressed in combat armour knowledgeable, engaging, funny and extremely professional and, as a keen amateur historian, really informative too. Ideal for anyone, but I would really recommend it for younger children, as they would be fascinated by all the weapons and the gory tales from battle. It actually reminded me of Horrible Histories! Great tour, thank you, Richard!
Very interesting walk and talk. Richard got you really involved, showing artefacts, explaining history with lots of information and fun!
We went on the walking Medieval tour with Richard as our guide. It was fantastic and great fun. Richard was extremely knowledgeable and had a great way of describing events to all the group. His humour throughout was great to see, even in the rain. Strongly recommend folks. 1hr 30mins and only £12 at the time of booking. Get booked up.
Great value for money - Richard very kindly combined the Roman tour with the Medieval one for us due to unavoidable circumstances. He was very engaging and we all thoroughly enjoyed it (despite the drizzle!), Highly recommended!
