Swimming with tortoises I didn't expect much myself, I was still fed. The transparency wasn't very good, the coral wasn't very good. The driver was kind enough to take me to various places on the journey of one driver alone It was fun.
How can they call this swimming with turtles. The experience was nothing like advertised. 2 minute boat ride to a murky area. Not the 30 minute boat ride each way a natural aquarium as advertised. 1 turtle if you are lucky when fed. But 5 boats and about 30-40 people all fighting to get a glimpse. What a waste of money.
We left on a boat and swimming with the turtles was just magic. We have a driver at the top, very nice always ready to take your picture.Discover port louis with our driver and guide at the same time we were able to discover the local life of port louis and to please ourselves it is stopped at the best weather of Mauritius Thanks to Nishal for this day
Take your own snorkels unless you're happy enough to use one's provided on the boat. If you can take an underwater go pro or pouch for your phone to take amazing footage of turtles and fish. Deepak is a very knowledgeable guide - encourages you to try local delicacies which were nice. 5⭐️ to Deepak!
Different experience and 100% recommended. Our unsurpassed experience and partly thanks to our guide Dipak! Wonderful person, friendly, helpful and as a guide all the necessary information of the Island! Nothing negative.
Really good experience, Baboo was an amazing guide and took us to some incredible food spots! Highly recommend. The beach he took us for swimming with the turtles was also amazing!
I really looked forward to the swim with turtles. That’s not it was. There was one poor turtle being chased down by at least 5 other boats also full of tourist. The coral was dead due to the high volume of people and tourist boats and lots of sea urchins so bring water shoes. But the second part was good. Nishel was our driver and guide. He asked what we liked, needed and took us around. Food was good got vanilla like I wanted. He explained the culture, history and life on Mauritius.
Our guide for the day was Deepak, who was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and very happy to engage in conversation, explaining the history of the island along our journey. He took us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own, and the experience was definitely worth doing. The snorkelling was excellent, and we managed to swim very close to a turtle within 10 minutes on the boat. The boiled noodles are delicious!
It was good. The turtle was really close but some other tourists couldn't resist the urge to touch the friendly critter even after several hints not to do so. We have some great videos of the beautiful reptile. The street food tour was also good. It was our first time in Port Louis and it looks so vibrant and interesting. Our guide Deepak gave us in Port Louis and on the way to the turtle beach some interesting trivia and insights about Mauritius. Overall a great trip.
We went with VIATORS it was the worst experience I have ever had, we were dragged by the boat, shouted at and was only in the water about 15 to 30 minutes, the boat driver was throwing fish at the turtles which frightened them, my daughter and I were so scared of being shouted at we swam back to shore which was about 800m for a 14 year old anything could have gone wrong.
