The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the tour was a wonderful way to experience the island and learn more about Maui along the way. Our driver, Nick was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire day enjoyable. Nick did a great job making us feel comfortable and sharing interesting information throughout the tour. We highly recommend Hawaii by Storm and especially Nick for anyone looking to experience the Road to Hana. It was an unforgettable experience!

We had a great time on our tour! They did an amazing job with our large group. Our driver Nick was amazing and my boys loved the ride with him! He even showed us a waterfall to jump and joined us in the jump! Lots of beautiful views. I would highly recommend!
Everyone that we spoke to prior to our vacation told us the road to Hana is a must. Sure, you can do it yourself but that’s not the experience I wished for my family. We got lucky when we chose Hawaii by Storm and even luckier when we were paired with Nick as our guide. Nick is super knowledgeable with all of the local sights and history and is a joy to be around. If we chose to do this tour again I would certainly choose Hawaii by Storm and I would certainly request Nick!!!
If you're looking for the ultimate Road to Hana experience, Maui By Storm is the way to go, and Nick is the absolute man for the job. Our day was packed with jaw-dropping, perfectly paced adventures. Here are just a few of the highlights: Wildlife & Nature: We started by hanging out with the turtles resting on the beach, and later marveled at the incredibly vibrant bark of the rainbow eucalyptus trees. Chasing Waterfalls: We didn't just look at waterfalls from the side of the road; we actually hiked down and swam in the pool of one! A little chilly, but completely unforgettable. Good Eats: The local food trucks were a massive hit. Nothing fuels a winding jungle expedition quite like fresh local grinds. Iconic Sights: Strolling across the stunning black sand beach felt like walking on another planet, and stopping at the famous Halfway to Hana stand gave us a great chance to stretch our legs. But what truly made this trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience was the deep personal connection. A family member traveling with us has historical roots in the community near the Halfway to Hana point. In a wild twist of fate, while exploring, we bumped into another Maui By Storm guide—a native to the area—who turned out to be an actual relative! Nick was nothing short of phenomenal through all of this. He was incredibly informative about Hawaiian culture and the local activities, keeping the energy high and the entire trip deeply engaging. When we realized our family connection to the area, Nick didn't miss a beat. He completely customized our experience, taking us on a special side trip deep into the jungle to find the hidden family houses. It was a profoundly special moment for us, and we are so grateful for his flexibility. We would definitely recommend Maui By Storm and Nick to anyone in a heartbeat. The guy is a legendary guide. One final note... Nick, my friend, we need to talk about your DJ skills. The music playlist desperately needs some situational syncing! You've got the driving down, you've got the history down, but we need the soundtrack to match the majestic views outside the window. Work on the playlist transitions, and you'll achieve pure perfection! Thank you, Nick, and the whole Maui By Storm team for an incredible adventure!

Booking a private tour with Hawaii by Storm worked out perfectly for me and my family. My husband was relieved that he didn’t have to drive and pleased that he was able to enjoy the scenic drive along the Road to Hana. This tour also took us around the back side of Haleakalā, which was amazing. Our driver, Nick, was great. He gave us lots of information about the island and all the sights we were seeing. He made stop recommendations along the way as well. I’d recommend this tour.
Our Road to Hana experience was the highlight of our Maui trip thanks to Spencer. A native Hawaiian, Spencer was incredibly passionate about the history, culture, and love he has for his home. He shared a wealth of information that made the journey so meaningful and unforgettable. Driving through the rainforest surrounded by lush vegetation and seeing one breathtaking landscape after another was amazing. But Spencer truly made the experience special. He was funny, kind, and incredibly wise for such a young man. He made sure everyone was comfortable and took the time to show us the sights we were most interested in seeing. His navigation was excellent and his ability to drive the winding Hana roads with such ease and confidence was truly commendable. Spencer gave us more than a tour he gave us a genuine connection to Hawaii that we will always remember. Mahalo Spencer for making this our favorite part of Maui!
