What a great experience! Walking on a glacier was just amazing and magical. Our glacier guide Jason was amazing, he looked after us really well. Only bad thing was we didnt get any snacks or water the whole day even though it stated they provided it for everyone. If we had known we would have packed stuff. A 2hr drive there and 2hr back without water wasn't great. Lunch was really good and the view was amazing, but its not until 145pm so take your own water with you. No where to get water until lunch time. We spent 2 1/2 hrs on the glacier and we loved every minute!

If you have a day in Anchorage, I highly recommend this excursion with Alaskan Sights and Bites. Chris was an outstanding host. We had a family of 12 take the tour and Chris made it 13. Very personable like he was part of the family and treated us the same. Very informative about his native Alaska and the tour itself was terrific. Just the right amount of time spent hiking the glacier with another informative guide. The glacier hike was followed by a terrific lunch with views of the glacier. All in all an outstanding day in the Anchorage area. As a large group, Chris also picked us up directly at our hotel which was a bonus. Alaskan Sights and Bites were also excellent in communicating with me, answering questions I had prior to our trip. Very highly recommended.

We had an incredible experience on the Matanuska Glacier Hike with Lunch! Our tour guide, Chris, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared fascinating information throughout the entire tour, pointing out interesting features and facts we would have otherwise missed. What really stood out was how much effort Chris made to get to know us and learn about our interests. He tailored the experience accordingly, making sure we spent extra time on the things we enjoyed most. Our glacier hike actually ran longer than scheduled, which we didn't mind at all because it was so engaging and memorable. Chris never rushed us and encouraged us to take in the experience and enjoy the moment. He was also happy to take photos for us, which allowed us to fully enjoy the hike while still capturing great memories. The glacier itself was absolutely breathtaking, and the delicious lunch was the perfect addition to an already fantastic day. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alaska.
