Je suis Mitch, un habitant de Melbourne, et je serai votre hôte pour cette charmante petite balade audio de Birrarung Marr Riverside Park à Hamer Hall. Après avoir enduré le confinement le plus long du monde, la ville est de retour et meilleure que jamais et j’ai hâte de la partager avec vous alors que nous abordons certains de ses coins moins connus, y compris Federation Square et le Block Arcade. En cours de route, je vous présenterai quelques personnes qui partageront quelques faits intéressants sur la ville et comment elle est née. Vous entendrez Steve, un Gunai Kurnai dont les ancêtres sont les propriétaires traditionnels de Naarm. (C’est le nom traditionnel aborigène de Melbourne.) Jessica Paige, une street busker, partagera également avec vous une de ses belles chansons. À la fin de cette visite, vous pourrez explorer la ville par vous-même comme n’importe quel Melbournite!

La cathédrale Saint-Paul a été conçue par l'architecte anglais William Butterfield et a été consacrée en 1891. Les clochers de la cathédrale ont été construits entre 1926 et 1932. La cathédrale est un site prisé des funérailles d'État, notamment celui de l'un des premiers ministres australiens les plus connus, Harold Holt.
Le Centre australien pour l'image en mouvement ou ACMI est le musée national australien du film, des jeux vidéo, de la culture numérique et de l'art. L'ACMI est le musée de l'image en mouvement le plus visité au monde. 1,45 million de personnes ont visité ACMI au cours de l'exercice 2015-2016.
Federation Square couvre une superficie de 7,9 acres et comprend un certain nombre d'institutions et de bâtiments centrés autour de celle-ci, tels que le Centre Ian Potter, l'ACMI et le Koorie Heritage Trust. Il y a aussi un certain nombre de cafés et de bars situés autour de la place. Un pavillon de verre donnant accès au centre de visiteurs souterrain de Melbourne est situé sur un coin de la place.

do not book this. I went for the tour and never received the audio or the locations. after leaving a review the company called me four times at midnight yelling at me, threatening me and calling me stupid to delete my review otherwise there will be bigger problems. not only is this unprofessional, but it is not safe and I now need to change my card information. Please be careful with this company.
The tour was challenging to negotiate. We had a good internet connection, but we found it difficult to reach the locations according to the self-guided audio tour. We gave up halfway. Also the information provided about the locations was not interesting.

During the evening it is difficult because a couple of the walk thru areas are closed. Had to find our way around.
This was an excellent and affordable way to be a tourist in Melbourne. I really enjoyed the interviews with different locals and it was easy to follow navigation wise. A great introduction to some interesting places and history. Would be great to have more tours from this producer.

Easy to follow instructions on the walk. Learnt a bit about Melbourne City and the painted alley ways.
We really enjoyed our walk through Melbourne and learning all about this beautiful city. Once we got started the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I feel like we saw all the highlights. We did struggle to find the starting location because I was under the impression we were to start at federation square. You actually start at the river below, which would have saved us a bit of walking and confusion from the start.
What a fabulous way to see and hear about Melbourne. The option to pause and look further is a great option and being able to hear the whole commentary with ease is a plus.
I love Melbourne and this tour made me love it more! Interesting stories and insights of favourite places with a fun commentary… buskers, coffee innovators and Koori heritage came to life and it even took me on a short tram ride, highly recommend ❤️
