Overall we had a fantastic day with Lahcen who was a great host and incredibly informative with excellent English. We were picked up promptly from our hotel by our driver, who stayed with us the whole day before proceeding to two further pickup points. Then we headed off to the outskirts of Marrakesh, where we were offered mint tea, before a camel ride - the guides were also excellent and happy to take photos on our cameras before departing . Then after a short drive a quick photo stop before an Argon Oil collective visit with complimentary bread and dips with more mint tea. Lahcen then gave us each a bottle of water (I think he bought these himself). As it was Tuesday we were fortunate enough to have an additional stop at a traditional Berber market - highly recommend if you can make it work with your schedule. Lahcen bought some plumbs for us all to try one. Then off into the high Atlas mountain for a short (40-40 minute) trek uphill to the waterfalls which were wonderfully cooling then on to our final stop a further 40 minutes to Lahcen’s Aunts house / restaurant for a delicious chicken tagine - this was in part relatively flat but finishes with a steep winding staircase - take note when the trip details say wear sensible footwear- you will need it !! Overall we had an amazing if not tiring day - I can’t speak highly enough of Lahcen and his hospitality. The value for money of this trip is outstanding.
We had a lovely trip to the Atlas Mountains. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything in detail throughout the day. The itinerary was well organised and included a camel ride, a visit to the beautiful waterfalls, and plenty of time to enjoy the stunning scenery. We also had lunch in a local village, and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Marrakech.
Our guide was exceptional. He took time to ensure that everyone in our party was comfortable, happy and understood the plan for the day. The information was so informative and we loved the whole experience. Camel ride, stop offs, the women’s cooperative, the walk. Our lunch was a feast and our wonderful guide’s family could not have looked after us better. Fabulous!
This was a wonderful experience! Omar is a great tour guide! I learned about Berber culture, loved the beautiful scenery, and enjoyed riding a camel in Moroccan garb. Highly recommended!
Absolutely WONDERFUL experience. Probably the best we’ve had in Morocco thus far! The tour guides Hassan and Mohammad are extremely friendly, informative, and always make sure everyone is having a good time! The tour picks you up where you are staying in a large 16-seater Air Conditioned van! The first half of the trip you are mostly in the van traveling from camels, to argon oil woman run factory, to markets, and valleys! The second half is talking a low-medium difficulty walk through 6 different villages in the Imlil Valley and stopping in the 5th for some traditional Moroccan Tajine, couscous, and salad (with dietary options). After the trek down the mountain it’s a relaxing 1.5 ish hour drive back to Marrakech where you are dropped off right at your accommodation once again! HIGHLY recommend, absolutely no reason to not book this guide if you are looking for a day activity in Marrakech! We were the first to be picked up at 8:15 and arrived back at around 19:00.
The tour with Lahcen took us to the High Atlas and provided a good look at the Berber towns and culture. We stopped for a camel ride and at the Saturday market, where Berber families go for their weekly provisions, on our way to a Berber village for an authentic Moroccan lunch with an amazing view. Lahcen was very attentive and a perfect host, I would recommend booking his tour!
We had a great day in the mountains and our guide Omar was great at leading the group and telling us about the things we saw along the way.
A great trip to the Atlas Mountains, with lots of activities but nothing was rushed. The camel ride was fun, the walk to the waterfall was good. The walk to the restaurant, through the Berber village, was super but quite difficult - stoney paths and steps. Lunch at a small restaurant was fantastic- great, local food and plenty of it. Very enjoyable. Jawad was a great guide and very knowledgeable. He also communicated the arrangements and timings well by email and WhatsApp. Excellent value for money. Thank you.
Incredible site, view of the highest mountains in Morocco, walk a bit steep but it is worth it, perfect guide, total immersion in the High Atlas
Our tour guide was Lacen, explained all events well was doing very well with speaking English as he hadn’t studied the language. Enjoyed the hiking very much. A very friendly and well coming person and tour guide. Happy to have him again.
