Hello fellow travelers, I highly recommend attending a cooking class with Yurac at SkyKitchen. I love to eat good food and as such have learned to cook. I also love travelling and thus take cooking classes when I do. The class I attended by SkyKitchen is one of the best I have attended. Yurac was an excellent instructor. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. In addition, Yurac provided the much needed, do and don't do comments to ensure you could replicate the dish. I enjoyed Yurac's class so much I have signed up for another class. Second review forthcoming. Bon Appetit, Mike
We booked the tour with llama travel and must say it was a lovely experience.we met Yurac at the market who explained all the fruits, vegetable's,meat and fish to us.we then returned to sky kitchen where he and his wife prepared different fruit for us to taste and helped us to make our own pisco sour.Afterwards we prepared and cooked meals and eat them.Definitely recommend this experience.
Lucy was an amazing guide. Super patient and made us taste a large variety of the loca fruits. She was amazing with our 2 and a half year old kid as well. Very very friendly and highly recommend her.
We would rate this experience a 6 out of 5. The market tour followed by the fruit tasting was wonderful. Then, we participated in a spectacular four-course cooking class. This is a can't-miss experience.
The market tour was fun, the fruit tasting was fabulous, and the 4 course meal fantastic. Christian was perfect at pacing for our family and so accommodating to dietary restrictions. It was a true highlight of our vacation.
What a spectacular morning! We visited the market and fruit tasting with Yurac! Then we cook together - hands on, cause of prawn and another of octopus. Then babiche and pickle golden- GOOD!!! The best babiche and cause I have ever eaten’! And the pickle? A wonderful surprise that opened us to everything that Peruvian cuisine offers! It is essential to do this class or anyone else with SkyKitchen when visiting Lima! Yurac gave us historical context of the fruits of Peru and how they are consumed today... very interesting!!! An experience that elevates the visit to this country!
Market tour and cooking class were amazing experiences from a local guide. Food tasted great and you get to take the recipes home.
This is one of two best inexpensive eats with common fare with friendly staff. Located on the back of the Fagatogo Fruit Market in downtown Pago Pago American Samoa, No indoor seating but on a tropical Island why stay indoors. Just really a few steps from the harbor view to enjoy with the meal.
What an amazing experience our son found for us at TripAdvisor! This wasn't just a cooking class; it was a deep dive into local culture and history, including a fascinating "market tour", "fruits test" and a four-course cooking session. The level of detail and engagement was truly impressive. Christian, our instructor, was exceptionally informative and clearly had a wealth of knowledge to share. We were also struck by how clean and well-organized the kitchen was. The lesson itself was perfectly structured, and the dishes we prepared were absolutely delicious – even for us, who cook a lot at home, every single dish was new and exciting! We highly recommend it.
Well, I didn’t have the option for 10 stars, but that’s how I would rate our experience with Christian. What a high quality, up scale, informative, and fun time. The market tour and fruit tasting was exceptional, don’t skip that part. Then the cooking and eating adventure was just fun and delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves food, fun, and learning about a different culture. Fabulous experience.
