Description

Filippo our host and chef was amazing. He took us to the market to buy fresh ingredients. We then went back to his kitchen and learned to cook fresh fish, how to make pasta and tiramisu. Filippo was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Amazing experience.
The cooking class was great!!! Very knowledgeable chef. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Best calls ever.
This experience was lovely highly recommend. Shopping in the market was wonderful and then getting to cook what we found was awesome
Loved this tour and cooking class! My daughter and I did this together and had a lot of fun. Chef Filippo was fun and an amazing teacher. We made scallops, homemade pasta carbonara and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. Our group of 8 was fun and everyone enjoyed getting to know each other and have a meal together. The fish/produce market was fun. Learned some interesting history and cultural info.
Chef Filippo was amazing! It was an inclusive hands on experience, and he made it accessible both for adults and kids to participate. And the food was excellent!
Far outweighed our expectations! We met two other families and our chef at the outdoor market. The small, intimate group allowed for better interaction than we’d had in a prior course. We walked the fresh fish and vegetables market with him - telling us about the variety of fish, what was local, how it could be cooked, what fresh looked like - prior to our selections. He answered questions, demonstrated, and had us each participate. He used local spices and shared local beverages. The food was wonderful and the chef even better! Highly recommend!!
In the end, a fabulous experience. Stephania was an excellent chef and teacher and we had a very enjoyable experience. I took off stars because the experience was overbooked, so we had two more than the cap (cramped in the kitchen), and maybe because of that, we did not get to go on the market tour, which I had really looked forward to. But we made pasta from scratch and a beautiful tiramisu, so it was an overall lovely outing. I would just confirm the number of people booked and that the market tour will happen. Then it will be a five star experience.
Thank you for your feedback. This is Atelier Cuisine, where the classes are led only by Filippo and Vanessa there is no chef named Stephania. The market tour is included only in the morning class. Would you mind checking your booking and removing this review? I would really appreciate it, as it appears to have been posted for the wrong experience. Thank you very much for your understanding.
Prior to this class we had taken a cooking class in Rome and it was night and day. We had no idea what we were missing (we gave the last class decent review). The last class was 18 people and felt rushed and commercial. In contrast, this class with Vanessa was just 8 seated around a kitchen in the cooking’s school. She took her time and explained the process as we all took part in cooking. The quality of the ingredients and her explanations made all the difference and it was an amazing experience for someone who loves to cook. Would highly recommend this class!
Wonderful blended tour - from shopping with the Chef at the local outdoor markets and shops for the classroom ingredients, to preparing a fabulous three-course meal. The Chef was very engaging and clearly explained the preparation and cooking steps. Recipes for all dishes plus many more were provided after the class. A must tour to schedule! You will not be disappointed.
Personable, informative, and a overall great experience to see the market and learn to cook fresh pasta
