If you want to discover real local food instead of tourist spots, I highly recommend this tour. Every stop was unique, the food was delicious, and our guide shared interesting stories about each dish and the local culture. Everything was well organized, and I got to try foods I would never have found on my own. It was one of the best food experiences I've had in China. Definitely worth it!
Our guide, Joy was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods of Shanghai and the food. The food was incredible! The best soup dumplings snd pan fried buns I have ever had anywhere. All of the restaurants we went to were unassuming neighborhood establishments — nothing fancy just great local food. I highly recommend this tour.

We went as a family to do this food tour. It was a really good introduction to the foods of Shanghai. We got to try things that we may have missed on our own. Each restaurant we went to served up very good quality food. Our tour guide Emma was great, excellent English, friendly, and was really comprehensive in explaining everything to us. I would certainly consider doing one of their other tours if I was in a new city.

The food was quite good, the guide (Emma) was great. I lived in china before and can speak Chinese so I didn't super 'need' the tour. But it was still convenient to eat all the local Shanghai food in an evening and have someone else organize/plan it.
