Visitors should be very aware that this is not a "hop on/hop off" bus and also know that the bus operators will not adhere to the published last schedule stops/times of the day. We had planned to get off one of the stops to explore and catch the last bus pick-up time, PER ADVERTISED. The bus driver said that this was their last stop of that location for the day; they would not be back returning to that spot! We were forced to get off and pay additional funds for an Uber rideshare later that afternoon. Very disappointed. Additionally, the pre-recorded audio was very hard to hear.
Great experience - informative and friendly staff. I'm from Greater Manchester originally and learned much more than expected
We had a very good time. The tour started from the Bridgewater Hall and lasted 75 minutes, taking in central Manchester and out to Salford Quays., past Old Trafford but not the Etihad Stadium. Peter, our driver, was polite and friendly throughout. Very good value, operated by Sightseeing Manchester. We have been on many hop on hop off buses all over the world and this was definitely the best value, costing a quarter of the normal cost their main rival charges. My only criticism would be that the commentary was hard to hear at the back of the bus on the top deck - ear pods were not provided.
Peter was absolutely amazing! Very helpful, funny and charismatic. What a great way to see the sights of Manchester i absolutely loved my time!
Fabulous experience, I love it.
Needed a rest from walking everywhere, so the bus was a good choice. We were given a map of where we would be heading and places of interest. Lasted just over an hour and gave us a few ideas of places to visit if in the area again. Informative without being too long winded.
Serene sharing, interesting places, very beautiful new and ancient sites, lovely staff. Practical and useful way for the first day in Manchester.
An Inspiring Tour Filled with the Deep, Enriching History of Manchester. I highly recommend this Manchester city tour to anyone visiting the city
Great way to see the history behind Manchester. Very informative.
Waited for bus didn't turn up and no clear signs to say where bus picks up drops off
Sorry to hear about your experience but I don't understand how you've not managed to find the bus on the day you travelled. Stop 1 is located outside BRIDGEWATER HOTEL which is marked on your Viator/Tripadvisor ticket but also on our website, facebook page etc and a Google search brings this up as well. Your ticket also shows the journey you were booked on. Where were you attempting to get on the bus??
