Un guide local mature et très apprécié fournira des commentaires amicaux et divertissants sur des centaines de sujets couvrant les oiseaux et la faune, les arbres, la géologie, l'histoire et le folklore lors de votre visite de 5 heures des routes panoramiques et des chemins de la magnifique île magnétique. Au départ du terminal de ferry de Nelly Bay, vous visiterez tous les principaux sites touristiques, y compris un ou deux endroits secrets que certains habitants ne connaissent même pas. Nous terminons par une heure de temps libre dans la baie Horseshoe pour vous déjeuner.

Après être monté dans le bus au terminal de Nelly Bay, vous rencontrerez votre sympathique guide local qui vous accompagnera tout au long de la journée. Nos guides sont tous des locaux, avec une connaissance approfondie de la vie sur l'île. Après une brève introduction, vous passerez par la baie de Nelly, à l’ouest de l’île. En chemin, vous obtiendrez des informations générales sur l’île et une introduction à la géographie et à la faune.
Fermé le mardi et entre Australia Day et Easter. Situé dans l'école Picnic Bay, classée au patrimoine, et dans l'historique Butler Hut, le centre gère un musée et vend des publications d'artisanat et historiques de fabrication locale. Le musée présente l'histoire de l'île à travers des expositions permanentes et diverses expositions annuelles.
Arrêt facultatif où nous allons découvrir son histoire et comment elle a été sauvée de la démolition, et admirer la beauté des environs.
Aucune visite au Maggie ne serait complète sans un arrêt à Geoffrey Bay pour voir si vous pouvez trouver certains de nos extrêmement mignons Wallabies Allied Rock. Ces wallabies ne se trouvent que dans le nord du Queensland, entre Townsville et la rivière Burdekin. Geoffrey Bay est également l’occasion de sortir du bus et de se rapprocher de nos incroyables formations rocheuses.
Pendant que le bus gravit la longue colline escarpée en direction de Horseshoe Bay, vous aurez une vue imprenable sur l'île. Vous vous dirigerez ensuite de l’autre côté vers l’ancien quartier agricole avant de vous arrêter pour une heure libre à Horseshoe Bay, où une variété de nourriture est disponible. Pendant l'hiver, lorsque les papillons sont là, nous visiterons certainement la forêt des papillons pour une courte promenade dans la brousse. C'est une expérience à ne pas manquer et un véritable baume pour l'âme. Horseshoe Bay propose également des baignades toute l'année avec un enclos de baignade sécurisé en place pendant les mois d'été. Un excellent endroit pour se rafraîchir si vous amenez vos nageurs.
Après le déjeuner, vous reviendrez au traversier pour vous donner la chance de profiter à nouveau de ces vues incroyables. Cette fois-ci, nous nous dirigerons à l'arrière d'Arcadia, le long de la jolie avenue Hayles avec un court arrêt à Aquasearch Aquarium (frais d'entrée de 3 $, argent comptant), où nous essaierons de trouver Nemo et Dory et discuterons de nos palourdes géantes avant de rentrer. à la gare maritime à temps pour rejoindre le départ de 15 heures à Townsville.

An excellent tour to gain an overall view of Magnetic Is. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we saw many things we would not have known about if doing a DIY explore. Travel from Townsville very easy with the SeaLink ferry , and the tour better value than taking our own car or hiring on Magnetic.

A great intro to Magnetic Island covering the geography, the history, the flora and the fauna. And a very knowledgeable guide who clearly loves his island. Definitely recommend it!

What a fantastic day! Can highly recommended this day tour. Worth every cent. We had been to the island before many years ago but just explored it ourselves. This time, on the tour, we learnt SO MUCH we would not have known otherwise. Our guide Neil knew all the cool places to go to see the local wildlife and we saw a koala, turtle, osprey, heaps of rock wallabies and did a few cool walks to hidden gems like a butterfly forest. Even morning tea is provided. Thanks for a magical Maggie experience!

Excellent tour-driver was so knowledgeable,very humorous Best tour I've had The island was magical Rock wallabies gorgeous and friendly Even got to see the Koala hospital and see all the great work that they do Would go back in a heartbeat
Great tour. There was a small group of us and it was very informal and casual which makes it feel more like you have a private tour.
We took two different ferry rides (one takes 15-20 minutes and the other about 30) to get there and then later back based on timing. It was easy to get a ticket in person on both ends even with a holiday week. We were greeted by the owner of the company who has an interesting and worldly background which brings a lot to his tours. He lives on Magnetic Island and provided a wealth of history and information throughout the day. He seems to know every person in town and their stories as well and took our group to get up close and personal to key places for great photos. We were brought into a cute area with several lunch options which provided something for everyone and an opportunity to walk around afterwards. He got us back exactly when he said he would so we could catch our ferry. We took over 500 photos - so lots to see even on a small island!
