La tombe de Ramsès III, désignée KV 11, est un système complexe de la Vallée des Rois. Il est connu depuis l'antiquité, les magnifiques décorations comprennent des reliefs creux peints colorés représentant les textes rituels traditionnels (litanie de Ra, livre des portes, etc.) et Ramsès devant les dieux. Les scènes profanes, dans les petites pièces latérales du couloir d'entrée, montrent des hommages étrangers, tels que des poteries très détaillées importées de la mer Égée, l'armurerie royale, des bateaux et, dans la dernière de ces chambres latérales, les harpistes aveugles qui a donné au tombeau l'un de ses noms alternatifs: `` Tombeau des harpistes ''
La tombe du roi Ramsès lX était le troisième pharaon de la vingtième dynastie du nouveau royaume de l'Égypte ancienne. Son nom avant d'assumer la couronne était Amonhirkhopshef. Il était le cinquième fils de Ramsès III et a été nommé au poste de prince héritier par la vingt-deuxième année du règne de son père lorsque ses quatre frères aînés ont précédé sa promotion au rang de prince héritier. La tombe a tellement de couleurs et de détails, même le plafond au-dessus des sarcophages avec sa déesse Nut qui s'étend à travers l'espace. Le sarcophage est l'un des plus grands de la vallée, même si certaines peintures se sont détériorées, c'est l'une des plus décorées.
Dans la mythologie égyptienne, Ptah est le démiurge de Memphis, dieu des artisans et architectes. Dans le ou simplement sous sa forme de faucon de la nouvelle divinité, a commencé à être placé dans des tombes pour accompagner et protéger les morts lors de leur voyage à l'ouest de Louxor .La tombe 8, qui est située dans la vallée des rois, était l'enterrement lieu du pharaon Merneptah et est le modèle des tombes royales Merneptah était un fils de Ramsès II et de la reine Isis-Nofret.la tombe a été découverte par Howard Carter en 1903. We had an amazing time in Luxor and got to see so many sights in such a short day. There are many opportunities to explore other sights if you desire, the personalization was very nice. Our guide was Khalid Eltayeb, he was so knowledgeable (he has his masters in Egyptology) and I can say I learned a lot from him on our trip. Our driver Hassan was very kind and got us wherever we needed to go in the most comfortable ride! Overall this was a great experience that I would definitely recommend to others.

We were picked up from our hotel in Cairo and taken to the airport very easily. We were greeted upon our landing by our Egyptologist Khalid and driver Hassan. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Khalid is an incredible source of knowledge not just for ancient Egyptian history, but also answered any questions we had about life in Egypt now. He also allowed ample time for photos and meals, and even had suggestions for what to do after the ruins (we had a late flight back to Cairo) and even booked it for us. Overall a fantastic day.

We had a limited amount of time in Egypt but booked this trip wanting to maximize the amount of sites we would see! Though it was a very early wake up to fly to Luxor, it was so worth it! We had a day filled with temples, tombs, a Nile river ride, and amazing Egyptian food. Even more impressive than the sites themselves was our guide, Khalid Eltayab, who was so knowledgeable about everything we saw! He also catered the tour to our needs and allowed us the opportunity to do more sight seeing. Not to mention, he took great pictures for us and made great recommendations about which tombs to go in (our tickets allowed us 3 tombs)!! The vehicle we traveled in throughout the day was also clean, air conditioned (which was needed!!), had WiFi, and was stocked with cold waters! The driver, Hassan was also great! Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone hoping to explore the many amazing sites of Egypt with a limited amount of time! Also try to recommend Khalid if you can!! He made it a day to remember!! Cannot wait to come back and spend more time here in the future!

Having a day to spare on a recent business trip in Egypt, I found Luxor Travels on Trip Advisor and found his ratings and general feedback from his customers to be extremely positive. I contacted Ragab via trip advisor and he organised everything from start to finish. The day was expertly planned out and was without doubt an incredible experience. Ragab organised all flights for me down to Luxor and return and a driver picked me up as I exited the airport terminal in Luxor. I wish that I could have enjoyed more time in Luxor, it was spectacular. This tour company is excellent. As a single woman traveling solo in the Middle East, I choose my tours carefully. On this tour, every step of the way I was greeted by a friendly English speaking driver, who was on time and helped me to the next step. It was a very easy transition from the hotel to the airport to the driver on the other side. I felt very safe, and comfortable throughout. The guide Ragab El Motgalye, was personable and extremely knowledgeable. He was working on the excavations in the Valley of the Kings and knows everything about the area. The conversations about everyday life in Egypt were also fascinating. Luxor Tours is the company, and I would definitely book them again - I plan returning to stay for a few more days next time because there was much left undiscovered with only one day. I can not say enough about this excellent experience! Highly recommended.

My friend and I had visited Egypt on our way to the UAE, we had limited time so we did a day trip to Luxor. The flight was fine, nice and short. Pick up to and from the airport comes with the tour. The tour was incredible and amazing. Our tour guide, Ragab, was very knowledgeable regarding the valley of the kings and Egyptian history in general. We had extra time so Ragab made sure to take us to more cites so we could experience as much as possible. We got to visit the Luxor Temple at night with the lights. I couldn't find an Egyptian map I wanted to bring home and Ragab went out of his way to get me an awesome map full of pictures. I was very thankful for that. We had such a great time in Luxor with a great guide, we felt safe and would definitely like to return since there is so much more to see! You learn such an incredible amount of history on this tour, I highly recommend it! The food was fresh and delicious!
