Visite en bus et croisière sur la Tamise

Traffic was very difficult and it took longer than expected between stops. However, overall, it was a great way to see all the spots in London!

This was the second Toot Buses tour we have done. The first was in Paris and then this one in London. We loved viewing the sights of both cities from the top deck of the buses. The commentary (via the supplied headphones and options to listen in our preferred language) gave extra insight to the places and monuments we were going past and the history behind their importance. The cost of the tours was fair for the service. The fact we could get on and off to explore places of interest was a bonus. We stayed in London 4 nights and used to Toot Bus on our second day from 9am until 8pm. We got our money’s worth. We chose to add a Thames River cruise. Although the river itself is filthy, it was good to get a different perspective of the places we’d seen from the buses and the guy doing the commentary was good value. Although the buses were fairly full most of the time, they didn’t feel cramped or crowded. Most passengers were respectful. We spent a whole day touring and it was relaxed and self paced, just how we like it. We had fantastic weather, which was a bonus. It was a beautiful, hot summers day. I’m not sure it would have been as good if it was raining and/or cold. Recommend wearing a hat if you’re planning to sit on the top deck. There is no protection from the sun but if it was closed in, I’m not sure the atmosphere would have been the same. These Toot Bus tours would be good for anyone who wants to see all of the city from different perspectives.

Stayed near kings cross train station. Picked up the Blue line right next to our hotel. Very convenient. Buses ran regularly but I wish the map provided had more street names. It was kind of difficult to always figure out where your stops were based on their map. Every driver we encountered was more than friendly. There are so many companies to choose from, glad we picked this one. It seemed less crowded than others. We rode, multiple times, all 4 lines during our 4 day stay in London. We never had a live narrator, even though we were touring Friday-Sunday. It was ok though, they provide free ear buds and audio narrations. I don't know how the bus drivers navigate those streets, there are many tight turns and there are so many cars and buses in addition to pedestrian's motorcycles and bicycles. It's really just a crazy scene. As a matter of fact, one of our female bus drivers inadvertently hit a stop sign in the middle of the road. It took us a while to get around that curve but she finally made it. We did encounter one problem with our tour, thus the reason for four stars. We purchased the Thames River Cruise in addition to our hop-on hop-off bus pass. We waited in line for 40 minutes on July 9th to be told that the boat had broken down and we would have to wait another hour, If we wanted to go on the cruise. We opted not to. I have reached out to the company in hopes that we will get a refund on that particular portion of the tour. Overall, I would highly recommend the Tootbus hop-on hop off bus tour. You really do get to see all of the city and you can see it as many times as you want to kind of get a good lay of the land. Our experience with this tour operator was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We purchased a 3-day hop-on hop-off bus tour and a 1-day hop-on hop-off river cruise. We boarded the river cruise at Westminster on the boat we were directed to by staff. The boat took us to Greenwich, where every passenger was required to disembark so the crew could take a break. When boarding resumed, we were told our ticket was one-way only and that we were not allowed back on the boat. This left us stranded in Greenwich and forced us to make alternative arrangements to return to central London. We immediately contacted customer service, who insisted we had purchased a 24-hour hop-on hop-off river ticket. When we explained that staff at the pier had refused to let us reboard, they changed their explanation and claimed we should never have gone to Greenwich in the first place. We didn't choose the destination—we simply boarded the boat their staff instructed us to use. Customer service changed again and said that we should not have gotten off at Greenwich. We also had no choice about getting off, as every passenger was made to disembark. While speaking with the staff in Greenwich, we saw numerous other families experiencing exactly the same problem. One staff member even remarked that the tour companies "commit fraud" by selling these tickets. Those were her words, not ours. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. The company advertises a bus-tracking app, but once you've purchased your tickets you discover that it doesn't actually work in London. Advertising a feature that customers cannot use is misleading. They also advertise that certain bus routes include live commentary. None of the buses we rode had live commentary. The onboard audio controls for volume and language frequently didn't work either. To make matters worse, buses often failed to stop at the published stops shown on the company's website. When we contacted customer service, they claimed we should have relied on a printed map instead of the stops published on their own website. When we pointed out that their website information was inaccurate, they simply dismissed the issue. Because we were stranded in Greenwich, we lost valuable sightseeing time, incurred additional transportation costs, and ultimately missed the third day of our bus tour. We repeatedly requested a refund because we did not receive the services we paid for, but our requests were refused. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. The service was disorganized, the advertising was misleading, customer support accepted no responsibility, and we did not receive the hop-on hop-off experience that was promised. If you're looking for a hop-on hop-off option, use Big Bus instead. Their buses came more frequently and their app apparently works.

Although we enjoyed the experience and also took advantage of the London Eye discount savings they offered when we first arrived, I'll say that it was not ideal that they didn't provide us with the additional tickets we'd need for the river tour portion. Its worth the purchase, but request ALL your tickets at one time so you're not stressed.

Service was somewhat erratic. But the earphone jacks worked well and we learned a lot of interesting things. Also, all the bus-related workers were very nice and helpful.

A very disappointing time with the Tootbus in London today. For a rather pricy ticket, we found that the bus was late, missed multiple traffic lights, and had poor customer service by staff who insisted on our group having their tickets payment being split between multiple stops for some reason. However, all of that was dwarfed by the audio commentary, or lack thereof, we had. Between double digit minute long breaks of two sentence prerecorded lines, almost all of which were mistimed and uninformative, we found most of our two hour long experience was dominated by listening to terrible music instead of hearing about London or its landmarks. Overall, a bad time. Would not recommend. Either choose a different HOPO service or walk.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Immediately after entering the bus, we realized that there was no A/C and the heat was stifling. We immediately disembarked and contacted Tootbus’ Customer Service team. We explained that the members of our family were immediately feeling ill due to the stifling heat and that we had not used the service at all. We respectfully requested a refund, but were refused. We again explained the situation, and the representative on the chat responded in a disrespectful manner. It was a very disappointing start to our stay in London. Based on their poor customer service, I would highly discourage anyone from using Tootbus for their London tour services.

Sorry, but there is still a lot of room for improvement; halfway through the route, the bus was simply parked for 30 MINUTES due to a shift change, with all customers on the bus; the atmosphere was not cool and cleanliness is not a priority here.

My strawberries were only always friendly and helpful. The best makes good area stops. You can take the pink line, the red line or the blue line. Love that you could hop on midday. Go around in London. Make several stops the next day. Hop back on and finish your 24 hours on the bus. The ride on the Time River was also wonderful and restful
