We love exploring new places by bike so this time, rather than a guided tour we opted for hire only, having read good reviews about the instructions and directions - we weren't disappointed, the map was really helpful and explained to us, showing a choice of routes. We'd never ridden electric bikes before but it was so straightforward. Lovely route around the coast, a mixture of on and off road bike paths until the short final 30km/ph section through the city, slight confusion with the map but easily rectified. All felt very safe. We chose a long route - we knew it was a windy city but WOW if it's really blowy you have to be quite confident on a bike - oh and we had drizzle to add to the fun at first but that's nobody's fault! Wonderful scenery and when you hit the headwind, or the uphill section as you turn back to the city, turn up the power and you'd never even know you were going uphill! Thoroughly recommended.

In one word: excellent! Friendly and professional service, very good bikes, great 4 hour trip around Wellington. Not difficult, and great going through neighbourhoods as well.

I was gifted a 1 day ebike hire in Wellington. Went with my son who had his own bike. Did the full round - the - bays and over the hills (Brooklyn, Aro Valley, Kelburn, Thorndon) experience. Bike was great on flat and hills. Easy to control and plenty of power. I pedals just enough to feel tired at the end. Would recommend

Lots of bikes to choose from! Staff where extremely helpful during bike selection. They also pointed me to a 3-wheeler e-bike, which was a useful experience for me, as I am slightly disabled. Balance was less of a worry, could focus more on scenery and exercise on my ride around the bays.

We had a great time renting e-bikes. We road approx 40km in the half day rental option and had a great time. The bikes were in perfect condition and allowed us to explore the city and surrounds at our own pace.

What a great way to see Wellington! the location can't be beat, the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating! They all clearly love their jobs! The staff is patient, clear and keeps safety first and foremost! I loved how they had a guide in the front and the back. Bikes are in great shape, work great and no issues. It was truly a great day with Switched On Bikes!
