My husband and I had a GREAT 2 hour self guided trip. Justin and his crew were friendly and gave suggestions when I asked about wildlife I hoped to see. We plan to go back next year with more family members and do the 4 hour trip.
We had a fantastic experience booking two clear tandem kayaks at Silver Springs through Kayaking Florida. Justin was very accommodating and easy to work with, and the company offers the best value we could find among all operators at Silver Springs. We saw plenty of cool wildlife and had an overall great time.
So glad you had a good trip with Justin. Our guides do know the honey holes and secrets on the springs to give you that extra fun. Shhh. Don't tell! :) Glad you got to see alot of wildlife. Come see us at Blue Springs next!
From the moment we got off the phone with Justin that morning we knew we were going to have a great day. He was so friendly and relaxed. Very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, and very willing to share his knowledge. The float was spectacular! We saw so many species of wildlife, both in and out of the water, can’t even name them all. The water was crystal clear, so beautiful. When we were done with the trip, Justin showed up within minutes to pick us up and load our boats. We would describe some of the unusual fish that we saw and he was able to tell us what the names were. Wonderful experience! Highly recommend this company.

I definitely recommend. We saw an otter, several species of birds, many turtles, several fish species, one alligator minding its business, but didn’t see any manatees or monkeys. On the walking trail there was plenty of monkey “evidence” though. The water was clear and a beautiful blue in places where there weren’t plants. Other people that we crossed paths with said they saw more alligators.
So nice to see you saw a lot of different species. Manatees are hard to see out of season unless you do the 4 hour guided tour- our guides know some spots they may be on that one! Monkeys too!
Great, laid back experience. We enjoyed the 2 hour clear kayak tandem rental. We arrived back to the launch area early so kayaked nearby until our 2 hours was up. Next time we know we can slow down our loop to enjoy the wildlife at a slower pace. Saw lots of gators and ducks. No monkeys or manatees this time. Highly recommend!
Laid back is always nice! Try the 4 hr drift with shuttle service if you want a better chance to see the monkeys. :)
We had a really great time on the river. And the experience was seamless and easy because we booked with this company. The clear kayaks were fun, and it wasn't neat to be able to see animals passing underneath the kayak. Chris explained everything, gotta set up with everything we needed and out onto the river within minutes. He was available by a phone when we approached the launchsite at the end of our journey and what can I say the experience was wonderful. Would reccomend.

We had a wonderful time kayaking at Silver Springs . It was my first time kayaking and Justin Severance from Kayaking Florida did an amazing job of helping me to feel at ease. He even kept an eye on us as we got started on our trip and gave us some helpful directions. I loved being able to go at my own pace and take in the natural wonders of the park. I would definitely go kayaking again with Kayaking Florida.
