There was no guide or even recommendations of where to go. You are on your own. No one even introduced or gave any kind of talk beforehand where to see wildlife specific areas stuff like that.
Hi Margaret, Thank you for your feedback — we’re sorry to hear the experience didn’t meet your expectations. We do want to clarify that our team was present to meet you at your scheduled time. When you arrived, Michael and Michelle greeted your group, assisted with launching, and were available to help throughout the process. It appears there may have been some confusion with the booking, as your reservation was for a self-guided kayak rental, not a guided tour. At check-in, we explained the difference and offered the option to upgrade to a guided tour, but we understand you chose to continue with the rental. For all rentals, we provide a digital map and recommended routes in the booking confirmation and waiver link sent prior to arrival. We’re also always happy to walk through those options in person before launch. We truly appreciate your feedback and will continue working to make these distinctions even clearer for future guests. My boyfriend and I went with high hopes, thinking it was 2 kayaks but it was a 2 seater. That was on me for not reading through. As soon as we get there Joe greets us, happy and smiling in no rush for us to get out there. He provided waterproof bags for electronics. We get out there and it's not what we expected, so we turn around and head back. As soon as we get there Joe greets us and asks us if we forgot something, we then tell him it's just not what we expected. He offered to give us a refund, and that was very generous. As we got back we definitely weren't expecting a refund but we are very appreciative that he did that. Thank you Joe for being great and understanding!

That’s always our goal. We understand that our tours may not be exactly what everyone expects, and we always want our guests to feel comfortable and taken care of. For future guests, we do list our kayaks as tandem (2-seater) clear kayaks rental, but we completely understand how that detail can sometimes be overlooked when booking.
