Le Royal Albert Dock est un complexe de docks et d’entrepôts situés à Liverpool, en Angleterre. Conçu par Jesse Hartley et Philip Hardwick, il a été ouvert en 1846 et a été la première structure en Grande-Bretagne à être construite en fonte, en brique et en pierre, sans structure en bois.

Penny Lane a bien sûr été rendu célèbre par la chanson des Beatles du même nom, sortie en 1967. John Lennon et Paul McCartney se rencontraient à Penny Lane pour prendre un bus pour se rendre en ville. Leurs expériences d’enfance partagées dans la rue les ont inspirés à écrire la chanson, qui a été publiée en double face «A» avec «Strawberry Fields Forever» et présentée plus tard sur l’album américain «Magical Mystery Tour». De nombreux fans des Beatles se rendent en pèlerinage à Penny Lane dans le sud de la ville, pour voir la rue. C’est toujours un quartier animé, avec des commerces indépendants le long de la rue. Il y a même un salon de coiffure au même endroit référencé dans la chanson.
«La rencontre la plus importante de l’histoire de la musique populaire est certainement la plus importante», c’est ainsi que la première rencontre de John Lennon et Paul McCartney a récemment été décrite. La rencontre a eu lieu au St Peter's Church Hall le soir du samedi 6 juillet 1957… En attendant de jouer au bal de l'église ce soir-là, John Lennon et les autres membres du Quarrymen Skiffle Group ont été présentés au jeune Paul McCartney par un ami commun.
Le Cavern Club a ouvert ses portes le 16 janvier 1957 en tant que club de jazz, devenant plus tard un centre du rock and roll à Liverpool dans les années 1960. Les Beatles ont joué au club dans leurs premières années.

Please know, there is absolutely no signage to help direct you once you arrive in Liverpool. There was no success reaching out to customer support. The tickets sent for the attractions could be scanned by the venue. Train tickets were not accessible. The day was long, expensive and stressful.
What a perfect day. Everything was planned out. From the train ride to Liverpool to the Beatles Story to the Magical Mystery Bus Tour. Our guide Robin and driver Neil were wonderful.
Well my husband loves the Beatles and he loved this tour. I loved Liverpool which I was not thinking would happen. Robin our tour guide was amazing and Neal our driver was also great.

The highlight to me was the MMT bus. The driver and the guide did an excellent job with their knowledge and kindness. The Beatles story was very info intensive. More than I had time for. From the train station to the dock, where everything was at, is about a 20 minute walk.

It was a fantastic day, weather was great. Del the tour guide was really entertaining, experienced all the sights, that I never thought I would see. Ending the tour at the Cavern Club put the exclamation point to the tour.

There aren't any signs leading to Albert Dock when arriving at Liverpool Station. The walk to the dock is not leisure...it's 1.5 miles navigating crowded and uneven cobblestone streets. Transport to the dock would have been nice. Not enough time at the stops during the bus tour. We wanted to get back to London on an earlier train and tickets are not eligible for exchange. The only good thing was our tour guide Del and bus driver Steve. They were absolutely wonderful. Also dropped off in a different location and had to walk .5 miles back to train station. Also additional walking is required to get to the cavern. For that price there should have been transport to eveything.

My husband and I loved this tour! The Beatles experience was full of facts & memorabilia. We especially loved the Magical Mystery Tour bus was the best thanks to our fun tour guides, Del & Neal.
