In all the reviews, everyone mentions how cold they can get on the boat. Do not ignore that warning as it was 90° when we got to the pier and the temperature dropped fast. I did bring a warm sweater so I really enjoyed the trip. the music was good and the crew very nice. It was just the right amount of time to be on the river waiting for the sunset and to see the beautiful statues and buildings along the way.
Great boat, good drinks , amazing view and perfect amount of time. Really nice staff
This was by far our group's favorite activity our whole trip. The boat was very relaxing and the staff were amazing! It did get a little chilly at the very end so I would recommend bringing a sweatshirt. If you want the best seats on the boat, I recommend arriving early and getting a spot at the beginning of the line. We felt finding the dock was very easy with the directions given to us. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to do it!
Brenna, favourite activity of the whole trip?! We might actually frame that one. So glad the team made such an impression, and great tip on arriving early for the best seats. On the chill at the end: just a heads up to anyone reading, we have blankets on board and the crew are always happy to sort you out, just ask! Hope to have your group back on the Tagus very soon.
Very friendly staff. Beautiful excursion. It would be interesting to have information about what can be observed along the shore and historical facts.
Great activity for a group! Perfect length and beautiful views. Catamaran kept the ride stable despite it being a windy evening. Pack a sweater!!
Susan, thank you so much! A catamaran on a breezy evening is honestly one of the best combos we offer, and we're so glad your group had the perfect outing. Great tip on the sweater too! And just so future guests know, we also have blankets on board, just ask the crew. Hope to have you all back on the Tagus!
This sunset cruise the highlight of my nearly three week European trip. The absolute perfect end to our girls' trip vacation.
Virginia, "highlight of a three-week European trip" might be one of the greatest things anyone has ever said to us! The Tagus at golden hour has a way of making everything feel cinematic, and we're so thrilled your girls' trip ended on such a high note. Wishing you many more adventures, and a warm welcome back on board whenever you return to Lisbon!
It was a fun trip!! It was just the perfect amount of time and we were able to see Lisbon from the water along with a beautiful sunset. Staff was great and had great music playlist to create a good vibe!!
Chip, thank you!! Perfect timing, beautiful sunset, great staff, and a playlist that delivered — that's exactly what we set out to create every single evening on the Tagus. Really glad it all came together for you. Welcome back on board anytime!
the directions took us to the hippo trip ticket office but we soon found people congregating nearby where it said boat trips. the evening then went smoothly & was enjoyed by all of us.
Thank you so much, and we're glad the evening was enjoyed by all! We're sorry the directions caused any confusion at first, we know the meeting point isn't always easy to spot. We're working on making it clearer. Once on board, we do our best to make it well worth the hunt!
This is a lovely, relaxed trip. There was a good seating area with tables and chairs and large netted seating area with bean bags for the full catamaran experience. The view of the bridge and the Christ the King tower was great, especially when it was all lit up. Good selection of drinks and friendly staff on board.
Thank you, Emily! That moment when Cristo Rei and the bridge light up over the Tagus is hard to beat. So glad you enjoyed the catamaran layout and the netted area, there's nothing quite like that spot at sunset. We'd love to welcome you back on board!
This boat tour was a great vibe. The perfect time to catch the sunset in May. Weather is lovely (even with a heat wave during the day, does get chilly at night). Great playlist. Good way to see some Lisbon Landmarks without having to walk to all of them.
Thank you! May evenings on the Tagus really are something special, warm days, a refreshing breeze at sunset and a great playlist to soundtrack it all. We are so glad you caught the vibe and got to see Lisbon's landmarks from the best angle possible. Hope to welcome you back on board!
