Nous commencerons notre tour de Fado en errant dans les ruelles et les rues venteuses sur une visite à pied à travers Mouraria et Alfama (1h env.), où vous pourrez apprendre à connaître les quartiers populaires et les rues où Fado est né. Notre Guide vous expliquera l'histoire et l'importance culturelle du Fado, et comment il a façonné les mentalités au Portugal et le propre sentiment d'identité Portugais. Nous terminerons la visite dans une maison traditionnelle de Fado où nous écouterons les mélodies sincères de Fado. Everyone should be aware that the walking tour includes much walking over cobblestones, mostly uphill and up many flights of steps. The fado show and dinner are in an open terrace. Dinner was flavorful with ample portions and included starters, mains, dessert and drink.
The tour is very relaxed, at a perfect pace. Lara was 5*****, very helpful and informative. The restaurant is very typical and the food and singers very good. I recommend

Walking tour is not for seniors. The streets in Alfama district are steep and narrow with many steps. Our guide put us on a Bolt taxi to get us to the restaurant. Driver couldn’t find the restaurant so we missed the dinner and Fado music. We were disappointed!

This is a very informative and pleasant walking tour through parts of Lisbon with stops at various spots for some fabulous photo opportunities. Miguel is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who catered to everyone in our group even though we were from 5 different countries. Miguel has a wealth of information about the history of Lisbon and Fado. I would highly recommend him for a tour and would certainly go with him again. The dinner was delicious and the Fado was melodic and emotional. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to learn about this part of Portuguese culture.

One of the best experiences I had in Lisbon! Lara was simply fantastic. This tour is not for everyone. Lara was very nice and enthusiastic but her enthusiasm led to frequent digressions that caused the walking portion of the tour to extend a half hour beyond the published hour. The tour description should have indicated that it was strenuous and was not appropriate for anyone with difficulty with steep inclines. The restaurant food, music and service were reasonably good but my sister-in-law was pickpocketed during the lights-out portion of the show. Directions to the taxi stand (Go down the alley and take a left.) after the show didn't work out; probably because people who left us before got the cabs. We went to the next major street to catch an Uber where were pursued twice by a rather tall vagrant who kept shouting "Money, money, money! It took a direct confrontation to get rid of him. Over, the tout was poorly described and executed.

We're also sorry that the transportation guidance after the show did not work as expected and that you had an uncomfortable encounter while looking for alternative transport. If you’re visiting Portugal and want a deep dive into its historical and musical history, the Fado Tour was a must. Our guide, Lara Barbosa, only made the experience that much better with her deep passion for history and welcoming attitude. She didn’t just recite facts, but was able to tie together the history of Lisbon and the origins of Fado in the Alfamo district in a easy to understand way, and even provided fun facts from her own culture, Brazil, which made it apparent that they genuinely love what they do. The fado performance itself was breathtaking. The singers poured their hearts into every note, giving me chills more than once. Overall, the experience was amazing, and Lara was a 10/10 tour guide. I highly recommend!
