We booked a day trip from Rome down to Pompeii with a brief tour of the Amalfi coast along the way. Our driver Daniel arrived early and helped us with luggage. We were needing to change from an Airbnb to a hotel that day and so had to find something to do with our luggage that day but Daniel was able to accommodate everything in the back of the van. We learned in our drive south that Daniel is a native to the Amalfi coast region and was able to describe the area and its history to us in detail. Our tickets had been for a 9:00 AM visit to Pompeii but at Daniel's suggestion we spent the morning in Sorrento before heading back north to Pompeii in the afternoon. (Daniel contacted our Pompeii tour guide and confirmed our tickets were still valid later in the day.) Our driver was clearly right in his approach as there was substantially more traffic driving in the opposite direction of us and no doubt the driving would have been much slower if we had visited Pompeii first. The Sorrento peninsula and its towns are beautiful but due to splitting our day between the coast and Pompeii we were not able to spend much time at each stop. If we had to do again I would spend more time in Ravello (quieter, less crowds but less shops) and skip stopping in Positano. Positano if very beautiful but was also very crowded. This part of our day also reaffirmed for me I had made the right decision hiring a driver to take us down the coast rather than attempting to do myself. I'm sure it would have been a very unpleasant day if I had rented a car :) At our request Sorrento Limo had arranged a dedicated guide for our family through the city of Pompeii. In the early afternoon Daniel handed us off to Miguel at the entrance to the city for a wonderful tour of the city. (about 1.5 hours). It was my 3rd trip to Pompeii but my first with a guide and I learned a tremendous amount from Miguel. Many of my assumptions about the volcanic destruction of the city have been changed. There is no way you can see the entire excavations in just an hour and a half but he was able to guide us through the core of the city and make very good use of the time. On our ride back to Rome we enjoyed learning more history from Daniel. He pointed out sites like the monestary at Monte Cassino (destroyed during WWII and rebuilt). We also had the opportunity to learn about life along the coast (we passed not far from his town in the morning). If you are booking with Sorrento Coast Limo be aware the interactions may be a little less formal than what you are accustomed to. Our entire trip was arranged by email exchanges. Rosario was our point of contact and was exceptionally responsive to my emails no matter what time zone I was in. Sometimes specific itinerary items could be unclear and I did find the need to follow up a time or two to iron things out but if you are willing to go with the flow here I would say these guys truly love their corner of the world and genuinely want to make their guests happy touring it. If I make it back to the Amalfi coast I will use Sorrento Limo again.

this was by far the best experience and i would highly recommend them great smiley and driver sang the whlle way for us made us comfortbale and was welcoming i really enjoyed the experience the drive and the comfort all was on time and planned as we organised before the travel great man Rosario thank you so much will only come to italy to have you as our driver team for the value i think theyre very reasonable and good price for the legth of the journey what a great place amalfi i shall be back

A wonderful way to explore the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii! Davide was our driver, he took us to Sorrento where we had a lovely few hours and then back to Pompeii, we had a guided tour from Ciro who was FANTASTIC, so passionate and informative, he really made the visit for us! Davide was prompt and professional and also Rosario who I dealt with when booking was excellent, I would HIGHLY recommend and would use again for certain!

Wow! What a great day with “Daniel”, who was my private driver. Never have I had such a wonderful, respectful, knowledgeable and talented driver for 12+ hours. The day flew by, sights were amazing, everything was totally stress free and added a lot to my holiday. Top rate service transfer from Rome to Sorrento. Our driver was Daniele and we were very happy with his service. He was punctual, very courteous, helpful with information and his vehicle was spotless. Daniele picked us up from our hotel in Rome. We arranged for a bathroom and coffee stop along the way and he gave us some excellent commentary about places of interest and history along the way. We were also lucky to have him as our driver for our day excursion from Sorrento to Ravello, Amalfi and Positano and return to our hotel in Sorrento. Daniele gave us excellent local knowledge on how to best plan our visit to minimise any traffic and avoid the chaos of tourist numbers. He was also very considerate with his driving the winding roads of the Amalfi coast. We were all very happy with his service and would highly recommend using Sorrento Coast limousine service. Our party of five included two best friends in our 50s and our three 20-something kids. Our driver, Davide, was awesome and made it so much fun for all of us! Our private tour started at the cruise port in Rome and based on our preferences, Davide recommended a stop in Ravello, which was just as beautiful and a lot less crowded than Positano. We continued on to Pompeii and Vesuvius where we had an exquisite wine tasting dinner at a vineyard overlooking the Bay of Naples. Davide knew the owner and was able to make special arrangements to celebrate a birthday. 10/10, highly recommend – this is the absolute best way to see the Amalfi coast.

We used Sorrento Coast Limo for a transport from FCO airport in Rome to our Airbnb in Sorrento. Booking was easy, though a bit different from what I'm used to in the United States. We had 6 people and booked a minivan which was comfortable for all. Our driver Davide was fantastic! We had an issue at the airport with one of our bags. It somehow got loaded on the next arriving plane. We didn't want to sit in the airport for another hour and a half, but it was much better than not having our luggage. Davide was great and accommodated us with the issue for a nominal fee (approx 30€) which he did not have to do. He also was helpful along the trip in pointing out interesting things along the way. Overall our experience was great, and the price was fair (similar to what we would have paid to take the trains). Thank you Davide and Sorrento Coast Limo for the good service!

We were picked up in Rome at our hotel and taken to our hotel in Sorrento. Our driver was Rosario and he was wonderful. So informative and pleasant. He answered our questions clearly and was very knowledgeable about the area. Our ride was very very comfortable. Our luggage for 3 adults fitted perfectly. I also used this service to drive us to the Naples airport 4 days later. I was pleased with the price for both rides as I had done my homework prior to our trip. I would definitely use this service again.
