Description
Ce circuit est la combinaison parfaite entre nature et détente. La visite commence à l'entrée principale de la jetée, avec un transport privé et exclusif pour vous et votre famille. Au cours de cette visite, vous pourrez visiter les principales attractions de Puerto Limon. Vous visiterez le parc national de Cahuita et ferez une promenade dans la nature avec votre guide naturaliste privé, où de nombreuses espèces sauvages seront faciles à observer, telles que des paresseux, des singes, des iguanes et même de petits serpents jaunes. Après cela, visitez une ferme de démonstration, où sont produits des bananiers, des cacaoyers et de nombreux autres produits locaux et notre guide vous expliquera tout. L'établissement dispose d'une jolie boutique de souvenirs où vous pourrez acheter des souvenirs. Poursuivant la visite, faites une excursion en bateau le long du canal de Tortuguero et de sa faune abondante, où l'on peut observer davantage de paresseux. La visite comprend une promenade culturelle autour de la ville de Limon, où l'histoire, la culture, les traditions et la cousine locale seront combinées. Une pause déjeuner peut être incluse pendant la visite.

Le parc national de Cahuita est un parc national terrestre et marin de la zone de conservation caribéenne La Amistad du Costa Rica, situé sur la côte sud des Caraïbes dans la province de Limón, relié à la ville de Cahuita. Le parc national de Cahuita est unique au Costa Rica pour sa relation étroite avec la communauté, un exemple de gestion partagée entre la communauté et le gouvernement pour un développement durable au niveau communautaire. La participation des gardiens du parc et de la vie communautaire se démarque par une gestion de gouvernance partagée. Dans cet écosystème, niché dans les Caraïbes mais avec un environnement forestier, vous trouverez des espèces comme les ratons laveurs, les paresseux, les iguanes et les basilics. Vous remarquerez également des serpents comme des guirlandes et des tamagá, et des oiseaux comme le faucon noir. À l'intérieur du parc, il est possible de pratiquer des sports récréatifs et de faire de la randonnée sur les sentiers, ou simplement de profiter des plages pour nager ou bronzer.
Le Parque Nacional Tortuguero est une zone sauvage protégée sur la côte nord des Caraïbes du Costa Rica. Ses plages sont des lieux de nidification réputés pour les tortues de mer, y compris les tortues vertes en voie de disparition. Les criques d'eau douce et les lagunes du parc, accessibles en bateau ou en canoë, abritent des caïmans à lunettes et des tortues de rivière. La forêt tropicale dense environnante est également riche en faune, des singes à de nombreuses espèces d'oiseaux. Lieux et horaires de prise en charge
Visite Heure de réunion : 8 h 30 pour les arrivées anticipées / 11 h 30 pour les arrivées après 8 h 30 Point de rencontre : Entrée principale de la jetée. Il est à très courte distance à pied du bateau de croisière. Une fois à l'entrée de la jetée, vous verrez un Guide Touristique de la Voie Verte tenant un panneau avec votre nom. Remarque importante : Cette visite est réservée aux passagers des bateaux de croisière. Si vous n'arrivez pas par bateau de croisière, veuillez ne pas réserver cette visite. Tour fonctionnent seulement lorsque nous avons des bateaux de croisière au port.

Getting to our tour guide was off to a rough start. Greenway Nature Day Tours showed that our tour was cancelled yet i had tickets and had paid almost $2K for the tour. From the start the person i communicated with was not interested in our tour because we wanted to stop at the Sloth Sanctuary on our tour. He finally agreed and then we show up and it showed we were cancelled. Unhappy and we wasted time trying to deal with this situation. Natalie, who it looked like was controlling the tours, stepped in an gave her assistance and arranged for the tour to happen. Without her, i feel l confident we would not have had a tour. Luigi stepped up and took over the tour guide role. We had a nice van for the tour. He drove us through the city calling out points of interest. Our first stop was Cahuita National Park. We walked down the path seeing foliage, trees and wildlife with the beach alongside the park. We saw sloths and monkeys in the trees and other critters i did not care to look at! It did not cost anything to go in the park but they wanted a small donation at the entrance, not a big deal. We stopped for some snacks and a drink at a local bar/restaurant. Then we headed to the Sloth Sanctuary, which is the highlight of the trip, in my opinion. We were scheduled to take this trip 5 years ago but Covid hit and we couldn't do the trip. We were so disappointed but now we were making it happen. The Sanctuary was very interesting. They have 130 sloths housed there. We saw about a dozen. These poor sloths all were abandoned for some reason and they take them in. Some were missing a limb, were blind, deserted by their Mother and it goes on and on. The guide was amazing with his knowledge and explanations for any question we raised. We were there for an hour They fed them while we were there and that was fun to watch them eat. The time flew by and it was worth every penny we paid for that visit. We then took a canal ride and saw more creatures in the wild. The boat guide and the captain of the boat were able to pick out the many animals in the trees. It was enjoyable. Luigi was a super nice guy and willingly took the tour on. We are not sure he does that for a living but he sure did a good job for us. I have to admit that the start of the day left a sour note with me as I knew that original guide was not happy to help us with going to the Sloth Sanctuary. I doubt we would have enjoyed the tour near as much it we had not gone there.
Thank you for your review and we are very sorry about the inconvenience. The situation was that we mixed up (by mistake) your reservation and this causes the trouble. However, since you did the reservation, we include the sloths sanctuary as part of the tour and we were very clear the entrance fee will be on your own. We never rejected to include it as part of the tour. Once you showed up at the pier and spoke with our guide, we move forward inmediately and we resolved the situation and we were able to provide a nice transportation and a good tour guide. This inconvenience was resolved in less than 5 minutes. Good to read that at the end you enjoy the tour with Luigi.
We had an amazing time on our excursion. We were able to cover a lot of ground, even though our port time was short. Steven was a great guide. He was polite, friendly, punctual, and full of knowledge to share with us. We enjoyed the private tour and being able to go at our own pace, not having to coordinate with a group. It also gave us peace of mind that we would make it back to the ship on time, not having to wait on others. Thank you Greenway!

We had a great time seeing the sites in and around Limon. Our guide Pablo was fantastic and provided us with wonderful information about Costa Rica. We got to see the rainforest, learn about the city of Limon, how bananas are exported and took a river boat tour where we saw monkeys and sloths. What a special day with a special guide. We went on a tour yesterday with Estefan and we highly recommend it! He did a fantastic job showing us all the highlights of Limon. This is a much better experience than a bus ride with a bunch of people. We saw so much more than we would have on a bus tour. He was really good at showing us all the areas and explaining what we were seeing. Very well worth it!! Thanks Estefan!! We will be back.
