Nous nous retrouverons dans le centre-ville au Gran Hotel Bolívar, Jirón de la Unión 958, et de là, nous partirons pour le célèbre marché central. C'est à 15 minutes à pied.
Avant d'entrer dans le célèbre marché central, nous nous arrêterons pour déguster le célèbre plateau "4 couleurs". Il s'agit d'une combinaison de plats péruviens : ceviche, spaghetti rouge péruvien, chanfainita (un ragoût), et autres. Bien sûr, il sera accompagné d'un verre rafraîchissant de chicha morada (une boisson à base de maïs violet).
Nous visiterons le marché central et ensemble nous visiterons quelques stands où nous dégusterons quelques fruits péruviens exotiques et un jus rafraîchissant fait à partir de l'un d'eux.
Nous entrerons ensuite dans le petit monde de Chinatown. Ici, nous visiterons un stand célèbre, bien connu des amateurs de siu mai; une entrée Chinoise.
Nous explorerons la région en dehors du marché central et dégusterons des plats célèbres : anticuchos (brochettes de viande grillées), pata con huavo (pieds de porc avec œuf), choclo con queso (maïs avec fromage), mazamorra morada (pouding au maïs violet), et d'autres.
Notre visite culminera autour de la Plaza de Armas, où nous essayerons notre dernier goûter de la journée : le célèbre churro péruvien (une pâte frite croustillante, enrobée de sucre et souvent servie avec une sauce au chocolat ou au caramel).

The agency was very easy to communicate with. My guide Juan Diego was energetic and was very knowledgeable and eager to teach about Peruvian culture and cuisine. He knew the best spots for street food around Lima and he was very supportive and eager to show and get me to try more and more of their local food during the tour.
