Great choice. They were excellent and patient teachers for children ages 9, 11, and 12.
Instructor (Joshua) was very helpful & knowledgeable. My family & I had a wonderful time. Really enjoyable experience while you’re in Tamarindo.
Gaston was my surfing teacher I hade an amazing time didn't know anything and still managed to learn to ride the waves by the end
My daughter and I had the best surfing experience with Gaston. He was very clear in his instructions and patient with us once we got in the water. He was so nice and just a really good guy all around. This was on my bucket list for many years and I'm so glad I was able to have such a great experience. It was so much fun!
My son and I had amazing surf lessons with Fabian. It was my first time surfing, and he made sure I learning the basics and caught a few good (baby) waves! My son had two lessons with him and really improved in just those two sessions. Best teacher in Tamarindo!
Our 3 teen sons started 2026 with a 90 minute surf lesson in Tamarindo. Michael was very helpful setting it up and Mariano, their instructor, was just awesome. He was patient, encouraging, always assisting and complimentary of the boys throughout the lesson. Perfect for our sons who have never surfed before. They picked it up quickly thanks to Mariano and loves the celebratory pineapple at the end!
Took my 19 year old grandson on a trip to Costa Rica so he could learn to surf. The folks at Saltee Surf made all arrangements in advance. Michael was my grandson’s instructor. He couldn’t have been better! Cal got up on his third wave and surfed with Michael every day we were there. What a blast!
My daughter and I got private lessons with Gaston! He was friendly, professional and a great instructor! We caught so many waves! Highlight of our trip!
Excellent lesson! I’m nearly 65 years old and I have never surfed before. The teachers made the process of learning to surf fun and easy. I highly recommend giving a lesson a try!
Hands down, the best place to go for lessons for your family!!!! My wife, 14 y/o son, 10 y/o daughter, and I had the best time. We had never surfed before and all of us were riding waves into the shore by the end. Great instructors, great time!!!!
