Tiny Table Tours a été fondée par un journaliste gastronomique local bien connu, et ces relations sont au cœur de nos tournées. Nous partageons des histoires recueillies lors d'entrevues individuelles avec des propriétaires d'entreprises et des chefs qui vous donneront une vue personnelle des coulisses du sud de Philadelphie. Nos guides touristiques sont profondément immergés dans la cuisine et la scène gastronomique de Philly, vous donnant une expérience profondément personnelle. La visite comprend six bouchées de nourriture, y compris des friandises sucrées, un sandwich vietnamien, des tacos et plus encore. Nous parlerons de cheesesteaks (mais pas de les manger) et vous présenterons des entreprises familiales multigénérationnelles. Nous partagerons également notre fiche triche : une liste de recommandations pour les bars, restaurants et autres activités ludiques de la ville. Dans l’ensemble, nous marcherons environ 1 mile en 2,5 heures, alors s’il vous plaît venez préparé. Nous pouvons facilement accueillir les végétariens et les pescataires avec préavis. S'IL VOUS PLAÎT laissez-nous savoir si vous / quelqu'un dans votre groupe a des restrictions alimentaires que nous devrions connaître.

Itinéraire
Columbus Square Park est un lieu de rassemblement de quartier dans le quartier de Passyunk à South Philly. Nous nous réunirons et rassemblerons le groupe, puis visiterons une boulangerie, parlerons de l'histoire cachée de l'invention du cheesesteak de Philly, discuterons de la culture de l'art public de Philly, et ferons la connaissance d'une partie moins connue de South Philly.
Autrefois abritant des entrepôts industriels, Washington Avenue est devenue une ligne de démarcation pour la ville et abrite certains de nos restaurants préférés de la ville. Nous visiterons une boulangerie vietnamienne légendaire et un restaurant mexicain de longue date avec certains des meilleurs tacos de la ville.
L'un des marchés en plein air les plus anciens des États-Unis, où les habitants font encore leurs achats et où de nombreux restaurants s'approvisionnent en ingrédients. Vous entendrez des histoires sur les entreprises de cette région et visiterez une boulangerie italienne de quatrième génération, un magasin appétissant juif de la nouvelle école, et aurez un peu de temps pour faire du shopping au marché. Nous terminerons par un verre de vin d'une série limitée de vins fabriqués par l'une des plus anciennes entreprises du marché italien.

We had a fantastic tour of South Philly food scene with Jackie. She was so great on the history of the area along with each place we stopped at. We loved each stop and also given some free time around the Italian Market. Jackie was so knowlegable about the history of the immigrants moving into the area from Italy and the Eastern European countries. and also how they came to the United States to make a differnce for themselves and start these new business. So many fmily business that have veen around for many generatios. I highly reccomend this food tour, especially if you are new to Philadelphia. Thank you Jackie

Jackie was our guide, and she was great! I had been on another South Phila. Food Tour, but this tour went to different places- we tasted Vietnamese food, Mexican food, Jewish specialties, wine, Mighty Bread, and even an Isgrow Canolli! Everything was delicious, and it was fun learning the history behind the Italian Market. I highly recommend it for a fun and delicious time!

This was one of my favorite tours I’ve ever done. Tour guide was super educational but also made the group feel cohesive. The food was delicious and I love that they gave out an additional guide to Philly restaurant at the end. The price felt very fair! Group was small, which I also liked.

Thanks so much! One of my favorite parts of the tour is the restaurant where we stop halfway through, where guests can relax, hydrate, and even have a cocktail if they want!
