Sachez qu'il y a deux heures de départ (9 : 20 et 10 : 20). Ce sont les mêmes mais le 10 : 20 commence et se termine une heure plus tard. Lorsque 9 : 20 est plein ou presque plein, nous ouvrons l'option 10 : 20.

Notre voyage commence au charmant temple Katsuoji, niché dans la région sereine du nord d'Osaka. Connue pour ses superbes jardins et la présence magique de centaines de poupées Daruma symbolisant la persévérance et la chance, Katsuoji offre un départ paisible à notre aventure. En explorant ce joyau caché, nous serons entourés de magnifiques paysages et d'architecture traditionnelle Japonaise, créant une atmosphère tranquille et inspirante parfaite pour la contemplation et la découverte. Cette visite utilise les transports en commun et la marche. Le temple de Katsuoji lui-même est une attraction étonnante qui mérite d'être explorée. Le temple, avec sa riche histoire remontant à la période Nara, est entouré de paysages à couper le souffle. Vous serez enchanté par les fleurs de saison vibrantes, l'étang serein, les jardins magnifiquement paysagers, et le charmant pont qui ajoute au cadre pittoresque. Le temple Katsuoji offre un mélange parfait de signification culturelle et de beauté naturelle, ce qui en fait une expérience inoubliable.
Cachée au bout d’un doux sentier forestier, la cascade Minoo a longtemps été un lieu de retraite spirituelle et de beauté naturelle. Autrefois visitée par des ascètes des montagnes comme En no Gyōja, cette cascade de 33 mètres a été associée à la pratique du Shugendō et aux gardiens mythiques du dragon censés protéger la vallée. Aujourd'hui, la cascade est une évasion sereine de la ville, entourée d'une forêt luxuriante, de singes enjoués et des bruits apaisants de l'eau qui se précipite. Nous passons environ une heure ici à nous détendre, à profiter de la vue, à déjeuner et à goûter des spécialités locales comme la tempura croustillante à la feuille d'érable. C’est une pause rafraîchissante et un moment fort de la promenade.
Après votre déjeuner, nous marcherons à travers le parc et ferons notre chemin de retour à la gare. En cours de route, nous nous arrêterons à divers endroits pittoresques et points d'intérêt, vous permettant de profiter davantage de la beauté naturelle et du charme unique du parc Minoh. Chaque arrêt offre l'occasion d'admirer un environnement plus luxuriant et de capturer des moments mémorables de cette évasion tranquille de l'agitation d'Osaka.
Caché juste à côté du chemin principal, se trouve Ryuanji et le temple Bentendō. On dit que Bentendo a été fondée par En no Gyōja, le légendaire sage des montagnes, pour honorer Benzaiten, la déesse de l'eau, de la musique et de tout ce qui coule. Le temple Ryuanji n’est pas clinquant comme Katsuoji, mais il offre quelque chose de plus rare – un espace calme et réfléchissant imprégné de mysticisme montagnard. Selon la tradition locale, les singes qui méditaient autrefois ici ont été transformés en un esprit dragon protecteur – donnant au temple son nom : « Ermitage Dragon ».

We had a wonderful experience on this tour, and a big part of that was our guide, Garrett. He has a fantastic personality and was incredibly patient with our children throughout the day. He made a genuine effort to connect with them, which made the experience even more enjoyable for our whole family. The places we visited were all beautiful, but the final stop before the train ride back was especially memorable. It felt like stepping back in time and was the perfect way to end the tour. We have a great time with our handsome, patient guide, Adam. He did not rush us through the trip. He kept assuring us that we can stop for photo taking or need time to rest. He was our photographer too. Another trainee guide, Kikko who went with us to the trip was entertaining (he sang a few notes now and then; understand he was a performer). He offered to carry our lunch packed from supermarket before the trip. He will definitely be an excellent guide in future.

this tour was really great. it is somewhat of a long ride via bus and train to get there but having the guide to navigate it eliminated all the stress. we absolutely loved the tour if katsuo-ji temple in december. the weather was perfect. the grounds are maintained beautifully. our guide joel knew tons of interesting info about the temple as well as japan in general. he let us really take our time to enjoy and was able to keep both me and my young adult sons engaged throughout. he had us stop at a grocery store on our way to get food for lunch which was both economical and yummy. we ate at a spot outdoors with a beautiful view. we then walked a long path to see minoh falls and a very old and lovely shinto shrine. this was a great outdoor day with lots of walking that got us out into the mountain countryside for a change of pace from our other urban activities.

The lads that took us were great. Spoke perfect English. Not that that mattered and knew all about where we went. To be honest I was expecting to train it as I don’t usually read stuff lol I just book. But I really enjoyed the whole Japan experience. As for the tour. DO IT. !!! It was fantastic
Our guides were amazing! Unfortunately I don't remember the names and I would have loved to take your contact but it's a boy from the Philippines and the other from New York. Super patient, friendly and knowledgeable. The place is amazing, the temple is stunning, full of history and beauty. You get to hear the monks praying, it's an unforgettable experience. The waterfall walk is very quiet and not tired. Of all the temples we visited in Japan, this is in our top 3.
