Excellent food and an even better guide. We stopped at 5-6 places and experienced many Peruvian dishes. I highly recommend Harry as a guide. Truly a great experience!
A nice mix of tasting walking around town from fruits at the market to complete dinner with coffee afterwards.
Awesome experience! Our guide Harry was so passionate about the local culture and we learned so much!!!
Delicious food tour with Fabrizio. He took us to a local restaurant for an authentic experience, purchased street food for us to try, brought us to a local dessert shop and walked us through the market, explaining all the different sections. The food in town was great and eating fresh fruit, cut open in front of you was amazing. Highly recommend this tour for people who want to see some of the city but also enjoys a food experience.
I really enjoyed this experience. My guide Harry took me not just on a food tour but a brief talks about historical sites around the city and some of the cultural aspects of Peruvian food. I choose to do this the day I arrived to get a lay of the land with a local since I was solo. The walking was not too strenuous and mostly flat with a few hills. My guide even connected with me on WhatsApp after to give me recommendations and to answer any questions I had while I was here.
We loved this food tour we did with our guide Fabrizio in Cusco! Not only did we sample so many delicious traditional Peruvian dishes, we also learned so much about the areas rich history, traditions and culture. The guided walk through the huge market after the restaurant tastings was so fascinating! We definitely would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cusco and please request Fabrizio as your guide! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My husband and I had a great food tour with Angelo. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay as it was a very good introduction to Cusco. He was a really nice, friendly guy, full of energy and very charismatic and his tour was definitely one of our highlights of Peru. We started in San Pedro Mercado, tasting different juices and chocolates. We then moved on to other cafes, where the locals go, and sampled various different foods that we would never have discovered on our own. He also told us a lot about the history and culture of Cusco. I asked a lot of questions about life in Peru and he answered them all very patiently. His English was excellent and he was very easy to understand. We would have liked to have done another tour with him but sadly my husband was poorly, and then we ran out of time. Angelo also recommended two restaurants: Morena Peruvian Kitchen and Cicciolina, both of which were excellent. Angelo made the tour really fun and I would highly recommend him as a guide and we would definitely use him again.
Fabrizio was very engaging and knowledgeable. He customized the tour to our preferences and the food was varied and delicious. He was so friendly and we enjoyed talking to him. He showed us hidden gem spots with authentic food that we loved. Recommend!
There was nothing particularly bad, or great about this tour. Our guide was friendly and provided insight to the local cuisine. It wasn’t 10 tastings, more like 5. Again, not bad, not great. I would try something like this again if only for the guide around the local culinary scene.
We booked this private food tour in Cusco with Angelo, and it honestly felt like hanging out with a friend who knows the city inside and out. He went out of his way to accommodate my girlfriend’s many allergies (no pumpkin, avocado, milk, etc.), customizing stops like a fresh smoothie with tomato, orange, and some unknown Peruvian fruit — no artificial sweeteners, just pure local flavor. We tried sugarcane off the street, something that felt totally authentic and un-touristy, and a passionfruit-like fruit that was tart and refreshing. One of the more “sit-down” moments was a stop for roasted chicken and fries (photo attached), super simple but really well done. Angelo also made the experience personal — we chatted about anime, Tekken, Rubik’s cubes, and he even made me a 20-minute video after the tour showing me how to solve one. Totally above and beyond. The tour lasted the full 3 hours, and while I can’t confirm every one of the “10 tastings,” the vibe was relaxed and real — not rushed or staged. If you’re looking for a rigid checklist tour, this might not be for you. But if you want to experience the food culture and connect with a cool local who listens, adapts, and cares, Angelo’s your guy. Highly recommend.
