From the walk up the older man who looked to be a possible manager was rude. We had paid for Legoland & the Aquarium experience something my daughter has wanted to do for years. So since she had a friend with her we decided to do it. I was taken back by the barrage of questions by this man because he felt the girls were too old. We weren’t told of anything else that was offered like the family behind us for example the stamps. The gentleman who worked the photos were the only friendly ones who kept apologizing for our experience. Yes the LEGO builds were amazing and that’s what we wanted to see from the DFW airport to Grapevines The Gaylord Texan to other major Dallas landmarks. Just the initial experience left an awful taste in our mouths that I would truly not recommend this location to any of my friends with younger kids.
The place is shabby and a number of things didn’t work. The wilderness adventure was incredibly slow and the cars continually stopped working.
How sad that the place is so promising and they have it in bad shape and operating at 40%! I didn’t think you’d be charged as if everything worked and unfortunately left a lot to be desired. One of the rides was out of service, another virtual reality ride was also off, another that had carts for kids to drive only worked 3 , even things as simple as mockups that had buttons to turn on lights or move parts also did not work. To top it off we wanted to make one of those souvenirs from the crushed penny’s and it didn’t work either! There were a lot of lego pieces thrown all over the place and nobody picked up, the area felt dirty... and I want to think it was for the season but they also have a part of activities like water and also had it closed. My daughters were happy, in the end children! But how sad that it is a place that can offer much and not pay attention. You can see that people have an appetite for the place, but it is time someone paid attention to it!
More geared to kids 10 and under. Was a fun experience. The rides were fun and engaging and very interactive
We had such a wonderful experience at LEGOLAND thanks to Mr. Zane! He went above and beyond to make our visit special. Not only was he a great helper, but he also showed incredible creativity as a builder and maker. He took the time to answer questions, give helpful tips, and inspire the kids with his building skills. His patience, kindness, and enthusiasm made the experience unforgettable. Thank you, Mr. Zane, for making our day at LEGOLAND extra fun and memorable!
This isn't Legoland in Florida or California. This is basically a Lego store with some extra things to do. You don't want to come here from out of town or like plan your day around this place, but if you're already in the area, it's a fun way to kill time. You essentially have the Lego store, 2 rides, a 4D theater, some Lego displays to look at, an indoor ninjago playground, and a splash pad outside. There's nothing to do for toddlers or older kids. The age demographic for this location is 4-11 years old. The car driving ride was a 30 minute wait because only 2 cars were working. Then, when it was finally your kid's turn, they literally only got one minute because the line was so long---- because only 2 cars were working! The 4D movie was really cute. They play different ones, so you could spend several hours there watching the movies and taking breaks on the playground. The Lego store itself had basically no Jurassic Park or Jurassic World Legos. Considering a new movie just dropped, that was weird. I'm not joking, they had like 5 boxes total. Could have used more variety in the store.
I brought my grandson here on a Wed. during the summer at 1:00. BIG mistake!! The place was absolutely packed...at least 2 summer camp daycares were here. There was at least a 30 min. Wait for the show & the 2 rides they have. Ridiculous!?!? Why have timed tickets when you allow w that many people that there is a 30 min. wait at EVERYTHING?!? Won't return ever
Legoland Discovery Center in Grapevine, TX was great! I would recommend going early, because it gets packed! Also, highly recommend the VIP experience with the Master Builder, Thad. He was fantastic, and we loved being able to place a custom mini-fig in the Dallas/Ft. Worth city replica area!
Excellent educational and recreational place for the whole family fun for everyone and excellent service I recommend them 100% whenever you come to Texas I will visit again!
Legoland Dallas is in the shopping mall at Grapevine, TX. It was expensive (roughly $130) for a family of 4 to go in. Several of the areas were closed or not working. Honestly I think my kids had more legos than the store to play with. It should be a Lego Only store with a museum of all the Legos that have been built to resemble paintings and Dallas instead of a play area for kids. Save your money and go to the one in Orlando & do Disney while you’re there.
