Wonderful experience with very generous hosts. Our 8 year old daughter had a blast! Thank you for a fantastic evening!
Thank you! We’re so glad your family had a fantastic evening. Our Lecce cooking class is designed to be fun for all ages, and we’re thrilled your daughter enjoyed learning to make traditional orecchiette. It was a pleasure sharing our Apulian hospitality with you!
This class was a highlight of our Puglia trip. Lisa and Fabio were the most wonderful hosts and teachers. We had so much fun learning to make the different pastas, and it was some of the best we ate on our whole trip! Lisa and Fabio offered delicious snacks and wine throughout the evening. The experience was truly unique and special. It’s a must-do!
thanks for your nice comment
Lisa & Fabio curated a beautiful night in Lecce! We loved learning how to make two types of pasta, hearing about Italian life, and dining together. Lisa’s and Fabio’s cooking is amazing and delicious! They are experts at hosting and teaching as well. Such an amazing experience that we will remember forever. I highly recommend this experience. It will change your life!
The hosts Lisa and Fabio are like family. They are so sweet and great teachers! I would recommend this class for couples, friends, family. You will learn how to make pasta by hand and eat truly homemade local food! A must in Lecce!
Our evening with Fabio and Lisa learning how to make two types of pasta and learning about the foods and culture of Lecce was definitely a highlight of our five-week trip through Puglia. Our hosts were so welcoming and offered us such a delicious dinner and wines after we learned pasta making techniques. It was an absolutely delightful experience! We highly recommend their class!
A true highlight of our Puglia holiday! Lisa & Fabio were perfect Hosts, from the pick-up to appetizers, pasta making assistance to wonderful local wine. Their home & garden was perfect & we met 8 other lively guests. We’re still talking about our experience, delicious food & just received the recipes. I plan to return with my husband. Highly recommend! Bravo e Gracie Mille!
An amazing night. We booked to learn how to make pasta and left with 14 new friends! Lisa and Fabio are amazing hosts. The evening was really enjoyable. There were 12 in our group (that’s the max they take so not too big!) plus Lisa and Fabio. We learned a lot about pasta, tasted delicious wine and ate so much food!!
What a memorable and fun experience. Lisa and Fabio were incredible hosts, starting with clear communication on where to pick us up for the quick drive to their house. We enjoyed a host of traditional Italian appetizers with wine before “getting to work” making pasta from scratch. So much fun! Once our “work” was done Lisa prepared the sauces to accompany the two different types of pasta we made - the sauces were so good! We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio. Our hosts are so warm and generous and made the evening a highlight of our time in Lecce. Thank you Lisa and Fabio!
Our favorite activity in Italy was a cooking class in Lecce, hosted by a lovely and kind couple in their beautiful home. Fabio & Lisa welcomed us warmly into their home and taught us how to make pasta from scratch and paired the dishes we made with wine from the region. What we didn't know was that we would be making a pasta known as maritati—a special type of pasta that combines orecchiette and maccheroncini. The name "maritati" translates to "married," symbolizing the union of these two pasta shapes. This pasta is traditionally served at weddings in Puglia as a wish for prosperity for the couple. Fabio & Lisa did not know we were set to elope in a mere two weeks, but when they told us the history of maritati we shared our news with them & in turn they told us the story of how they met nearly 50 years ago & their secret to a long and happy marriage. We stayed sitting around the table on their patio under their pergola drinking wine, eating panna cotta, and chatting with them about their lives in Puglia and ours in New England well after the pasta had been eaten. The night ended with hugs and a promise to keep in touch. Fabio & Lisa encapsulated Puglia for us. We will have the fond memories of their cooking class & their home for the rest of our lives.
We had an absolutely amazing experience! My sister, Francesca, and I took a pasta-making class with Fabio and Lisa and it was truly the highlight of our trip. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and every part of the night felt so special! Fabio and Lisa were the best hosts we could’ve asked for. They were so warm, friendly, fun, and welcoming. They made the experience unforgettable and left us smiling the whole time. We absolutely loved it! 10/10 would recommend, and we’re already talking about coming back!
