Vieux port de Fira Situé à 220 m au-dessous de Fira - trois minutes en téléphérique ou 587 marches à pied - le Vieux-Port, également connu sous le nom de Fira Skala, est maintenant principalement utilisé par les passagers des navires de croisière visitant Fira pour la journée.

Our tour around the Caldera was awesome! We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, so we didn't need to worry about getting a taxi to the right spot. Our captain, Hector, was so knowledgeable about the islands, the history, the mythology, the volcano - all of it! He let us hang when we wanted to catch some sun, and cruise when we wanted to, even let one of us play DJ for the day. My group was so glad we chose this full day tour around the Caldera - it's the MOST bang for your buck and gives you a beautiful and different view of the cliffs, beaches, volcanic terrain, and rock formations that you wouldn't see up close if you were driving there and trying to see them by hiking in. By the time you factor in the cost of ground transportation, lunch, snacks, water taxi etc. to whatever you think you're planning for the day, the cost of this tour covers that and more. You're on a boat in the Aegean Sea which is better than being on a boat pretty much anywhere else. Request Hector for your captain if you can! He's awesome. Also, he builds a mean charcuterie board ;)

The captain will basically take you anywhere you want to go, and the speed of this boat allows alot of flexibility. The itenerary listed was suggested by Viator but not discussed by the captain. We didn't really do anything that was listed on the itinerary except for the sunset. We spent alot of time looking at the cliffs and the lava rock formations. We chose not to swim in the hot springs due to advice of the captain. There was no dinner provided as advertised but he did provide cheese, olives, and cold cuts salami as appetizers along with beer, wine, and soft drink selections. The high speed and waves made for a pretty bumpy ride in the open sea.
Wow! There is no better way to see the Island of Santorini! The boat was amazing but it was the hospitality of Madonna and Cleo that made our day spectacular! They showed us all the best spots, avoided the crowds, took endless pictures and kept our wine glasses full. An unforgettable experience- the sunset view for the full ride back was unbelievable. Such a wonderful day!

July 1, 2024: With 4 cruise ships in Santorini at the same time, my wife and I are extremely happy we chose to spend our time off ship on a private speed boat tour of the Santorini caldera instead of fighting the crowd of 11,000+ tourists in Fira and Oia. We still had to take the cable car up to Fira, but we were picked up (earlier than originally scheduled) and dropped off within a short 3-5 minute walk from the cable car exit. Our boat captain, Cleovoulos, and first mate, Nefeli, were amazing and kept us away from the areas crowded with catamarans and tourist groups the entire day, which was exactly what we hoped for. Our pictures from the water were incredible and we smiled to ourselves each time we heard our fellow cruisers complain about their experience (on land) in Santorini. If you want a unique experience away from the tourist crowds, then I highly recommend spending the day on the water with “Captain Chlo” and Nefeli.

It was so nice to spend the morning seeing the islands from the water. The guides were friendly and interacted well with the kids. The lunch stop on Thirasia was really good and we got there before the big crowd. The hot springs are no longer hot so that is a bit misleading. We would have preferred to do a swim stop at the White or Red Beach instead (you just drive past those with a quick stop for a photo op). Overall, a fun morning and would do it again.

Amazing private experience! Views and scenery were great! Staff were excellent and knowledgable. They created a perfect experience from start to finish. Music on board was perfectly chosen and they catered to any need. The dinner was also a great experience with great local food and several options.

Wonderful experience. Captain and crew were informative and attentive. The Axopar was almost brand new and got us quickly to our various destinations. I'd have skipped the thermal springs stop as it was unremarkable and chilly....perhaps ask the captain to swap it out for somewhere more interesting.
