We booked Eiffel Tower tickets through GetYourGuide, operated by Crown Tours. We paid a very high price because official tickets had sold out and we wanted to make sure our family could visit during our one day in Paris. We arrived at the meeting point on time for our 11:45am booking and waited for around 20 minutes, only to be told that Crown Tours had made a mistake and booked us on a 5:00pm entry instead. This completely ruined our plans for the day. What was most disappointing was the lack of customer service. There was no apology, no effort to make things right and no communication from the company. We only received information after contacting them ourselves. We have since been told a refund was processed, but nothing has appeared in our bank account. This was a special family trip and the Eiffel Tower was something our children had been looking forward to. Instead, they were left disappointed, and a significant part of our only day in Paris was wasted. Before booking through GetYourGuide, make sure you check who the tour operator is. If it’s Crown Tours, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Our experience was frustrating, unprofessional and left us with very unhappy memories of what should have been a highlight of our trip.

The guide was excellent, however, he was only with us for 50 minutes. So, probably better to purchase your summit ticket on your own and early. That was our mistake and so all tickets were gone and this was the only way to get to the summit while we were in Paris.

This experience is great because it removed the stress of getting tickets and the entry process into the Eiffel Tower. Our guide who took us up was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you go to the top of the Eiffel Tower alone, it may be stressful trying to understand the cityscape; however, our guide helped us identify all of the prominent landmarks of Paris from above. If you are planning to visit the Eiffel Tower, I would highly recommend that you use this service.

Guide was able to skip most of the line waiting to get in, but it was a bit chaotic. She provided historical details that enhanced the visit. Expensive for the basic effort that the guide provides.
