Lalibela Une nuit / deux jours

I got in touch with a local agency that books excursions and city tours in Ethiopia : ETHIO TRAVEL & TOUR. I'd like to thank Haben, the reservations agent, who organized a tour of the must-see monuments in Addis Ababa for me. I appreciated Haben's respectful welcome, his dedication to customer satisfaction, the option to personalize my itinerary, and the personal guide provided by the agency. Don't hesitate to clarify your requests in English to Haben so that all the logistics run smoothly ; he'll be attentive. Thanks a lot to him for making my solo trip worry-free and enjoyable ! 🙂

Viator uses a partner Ethio Travel and Tours who have a terrible reputation. I complained to Viator about having to pay an additional $140.00 fee at the airport for our flight to Lalibela from Addis Ababa because the tour operator did not book us as non-residents. Ethio refuses to refund this extra cost and Viator had passed to buck onto Ethio Tours. I made my booking with Viator and not Ethio tours.

Tourism hasn’t recovered in Lalibela since COVID and that is a shame because it is an incredible place to visit. Everyone was kind and welcoming and we never felt unsafe. We were picked up from the Lalibela airport by Mike and a driver, and were taken to a nice hotel - each ”room” was in its own villa. After check-in we were taken to a local restaurant that had both delicious Ethiopian food and some western options. We did a little souvenir shopping, picked up our guide Abebe, and then went to the rock-hewn churches. The churches were beautiful and very impressive! Abebe was knowledgeable and very willing to answer questions. We toured the Northern and Western group the first day and the Eastern group the second day before the flight back to Addis. The entire tour was wonderful from start to finish and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Visit Lalibela - it is amazing!

Your operation was first class all the way, from pickup at the airport, transfers, tours and our transfer back to the airport. Everything was professionally handled. Your drivers and tour guides were always prompt, courteous and are very knowledgeable on the history of your country. They went out of their way at times to make us comfortable.

I recently went on a trip to Ethiopia with ETT. There are not enough stars to rate this trip. It was fabulous. Everything about it was wonderful. Our group was great. Everyone got along superbly. The accommodations were excellent and the food was incredible, and our guide was fantastic. And of course the itinerary! Oh... my... goodness. This was absolutely my best vacation ever! I will definitely travel with ETT again

I had a wonderful time on this trip. We visited the salt lakes, I swam in a salt pond, was treated to Ethipian wine after a long day, slept outside at Dallol (my first time!) and Danakil was HOT but it's the most beautiful place I ever saw. Our driver Daniel was lovely. He was a great conversationalist (important when you're in a car for hours with strangers trying to connect) he made sure we were comfortable at all times, had interesting tidbits of information through the whole trip and let us play our own music😄 (attaching his picture in case anyone wants to request him) Excellent experience. Highly recommend.

ETT and your stuff were amazing and so helpful. My tours are customized to accommodate the preferences of my time and include visits to Lalibela historical sites. Once again you guys were fabulous! ETT never disappoints. Thank you for your great work and kindness.

After reading an awesome travel report on New York Times, I decided to book my trip with ETT. Before booking a trip, we all have to decide with whom to travel. The world is a book and those who don't travel read only one page. The company does an amazing through job to scout me out Lalibela. It was truly the highlight part my trip.
