We had an amazing tour to Lake Vouliagment and the Temple of Poseidon today. Yiannis was a great driver and had many interesting facts about the destinations and the route. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the doctor fish nibbling on her ankles and I had a great swim in the lake, I highly recommend this tour.
This is in no way a reflection of our tour guide Miltos. He was the best part. Very kind and knowledgeable and gave us great other recommendations. The tour itself is poorly designed. This tour was a bit long for what you got. No admission fees were included and we had no priority access and still had to wait in lines as general guests. There wasn’t much organization on that part. The lake resort had great vibes but was also confusing and had many different seating options and packages that we didn’t know about ahead of time. There was food and drink available but something should have been included or even as an add-on. Just a confusing place and process. The temple admission was also not included and should have been done before the lake because it was so hot and we were tired and wet by then. Lake would have been more rewarding after. We also thought this was going to be a bigger bus with a tour guide announcing stories over a speaker the entire time. Again, not the guide’s fault, just doing what he is supposed to do but feel this could be executed much better. Should just be called a transportation service.

Our tour description clearly states what is included and what is not included, and it specifically mentions that entrance tickets are not included. This information is available before booking, so guests can make an informed decision when choosing the experience. The Athens Riviera tour is designed as a relaxed sightseeing and swimming experience rather than a historical or guided sightseeing tour. It is intended for travelers who want to enjoy a swim at the lake, the beautiful coastal scenery, and the panoramic views and sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. For guests who do not wish to purchase the lake entrance ticket, there is also the option to enjoy the sea completely free of charge, directly opposite the lake. Regarding the group size, your tour was operated with a 9-seat minivan and only six guests in total. We intentionally prefer smaller groups because we believe they provide a more personal, comfortable, and enjoyable experience than large buses and crowded groups. The expectation of a large bus does not reflect the type of experience described in our tour. Regarding your comment about visiting the Temple of Poseidon while still wet after swimming at the lake, we would also like to clarify that the lake facilities include showers and changing rooms, allowing guests to comfortably shower and change before continuing with the tour. We hope this information helps clarify that the facilities needed to freshen up and change after swimming were available at the lake. The guide Miltos is very friendly and attentive, especially because I get sick driving and he drove carefully. We were supposed to have two more hours of travel because we had little time to swim and we asked to eat near the temple, but they were delayed to serve and we had to eat in a hurry. The landscape is very beautiful and it went well.

Our guide, Miltos, was fantastic!!! We were not able to get into Lake Vouliagmeni, it was at max capacity and no one else could get in until others left. Miltos came up with a plan and saved the day! He took us to a beach located at the bottom the Temple of Poseidon to allow us the opportunity to swim and relax before making our way to the temple. We were also able to have lunch at a restaurant located on the beach! We had a wonderful time, all thanks to our quick thinking guide, Miltos!!!

Christiano is definitely the guy that you would want as your driver. He is very well informed about the history of Athens. He will tell you all the historical facts about the places that you’re going to visit from mythology to the historical fights that has happened throughout time (Great history teacher). Me and my brother had a fabulous time the whole trip. We ended the trip with what I would say one of the best local restaurants in town. It was so good that I wanted to kiss the chef and took a business card. On the way home we had a favorite conversation about life please don’t be afraid or nervous to speak to Christiano because he is informed with many topics. Such an interesting person to converse with definitely for the books. I would definitely do this whole day again because he made it so much fun! Don’t skip out on this experience it’s one of the best in Greece.

Our driver Miltos was very nice; we chatted during the trip and he recommended several places that were worth visiting! We just regret not being able to enter Lake Vouliagmeni because the number of people inside is limited and there was a line outside... Miltos offered to take us to a beautiful beach next to the Temple of Poseidon where we were able to enjoy ourselves! It was a great alternative!
