Itinéraire
La visite commence à Windermere et se dirige vers la vallée de Langdale, qui regorge de patrimoine et de terres agricoles. En route vers la vallée de Langdale, vous longerez le célèbre lac Windermere et notre chauffeur / guide vous racontera de nombreuses histoires sur notre magnifique parc national.
Hawkshead est un charmant village médiéval plein de ruelles étroites et de places de caractère. Il abrite un lycée qui a été créé en 1585 et où le célèbre poète anglais William Wordsworth est allé à l'école. Surplombant le village sur une colline, vous pouvez également trouver l'église St Michael and All Angels, qui existe depuis le 16ème siècle. Alors que nous parlons de Hawkshead, nous devons également mentionner la délicieuse Hawkshead Relish Company, qui vaut vraiment le détour! Hawkshead est un village où vous obtenez un vrai sens de l'histoire et c'est un endroit formidable à explorer, c'est pourquoi nous l'incluons dans tant de nos circuits.
Vous aurez le temps d’admirer les paysages époustouflants de Coniston avant de vous rendre au Tarn How’s. Tarn Hows est un autre des joyaux cachés du Lake District. Il a été l'inspiration de nombreux artistes et écrivains et une fois que vous aurez visité, vous comprendrez pourquoi. Après avoir admiré la vue, la visite vous mènera ensuite à l'arrêt final qui est un voyage à Hawkshead.
Coniston est un beau village bien connu pour Coniston Water et Donald Campbell CBE, qui ont battu le record du monde de vitesse sur l'eau de 276 mph. Vous pourriez également apercevoir un yacht à vapeur Gondala qui est un yacht à vapeur victorien reconstruit qui propose des croisières sur Coniston Water.

Célèbre maison de Beatrix Potter au bord des lacs. (La propriété n'est pas ouverte le vendredi en dehors des vacances scolaires britanniques ou entre novembre et février). Lorsque Hill Top sera fermé, nous visiterons le monde de Beatrix Potter à Bowness pour en savoir plus sur l'auteur et les personnages qu'elle a créés.

This was a terrible tour. I booked 5 tours this trip via Viator and this was by far the worst. All other tours that I booked were 5 stars and this was sub-par. Why? 1. Mike, our guide did not have a sign when met in the train station. We had to search for him in the parking lot. His excuse was that he would know how to find us. 2. He spoke as if he had marbles in his mouth. We had no issues with any other tour guide. 3. His history of the area was all over the place and not well organized. 4. Some stops didn't allow for much time, one stop was 5 minutes 5. We arrived in the lake district for lunch at 2:50 and all the cafes closed at 3:00. Needless to say, we didn't have lunch. 6. The cream tea was 1 1/2 hours which should have been 1/2 hour and the extra hour could have been used for exploring and shopping. Most of the trip seemed very rushed other than the Beatrix Potter tour which was very pleasant and time well spent.

Peter was excellent. He has amazing knowledge and is really good at story telling! He made good conversation, was clear with instructions, and has amazing driving skills haha! Loved every bit of it! After not being able to the find the tickets in time ; I missed my train and missed the entire tour. I reached out to the company for a refund to my disgust they just took my $600aud and laughed all the way to the bank. Despicable

The Tour Guide was great. The tour company sent me 2 copies of the same ticket instead of the 4 tickets I needed. When I asked about this they sent the proper tickets, but then called me again and seemed very confused. They didn't tell the guide about our reservation for Cream Tea, so I had to follow up again on that. The hotel with the tea room was very uninterested in our group. They mostly ignored us, and grudgingly served us. They could not even bother to be polite. I give 5 stars to the tour guide and 2 to Evan Evans tours. The tour guide did not work for them, he was an outside contractor.

Due to the disruptions and cancellations of the train, we got off it at the Preston station unexpectedly. I was confused at first because I'm a foreign tourist, but the tour agent(Evan Evans Tours) got in touch with me immediately and the local tour guide, Tim picked me up in front of the station. He was very friendly and his explanation was easy to understand for foreigner. In addition, he helped me to take pictures at a great photo spot. There are a lot of beautiful nature, so I could forget daily life and enjoy this tour. Thank you for your kind support, Tim!

Mark, the guide, knows the area very well and has great information about many details. I'd suggest leaving the Beatrix Potter's World off the tour, unless there are young children signed up.

We got picked up 2 hours late from the station. No apologies from the local guide. Not worth of money at all!
