A wonderful experience understanding the real Berlin - pre and post unification covered off really well along with local knowledge that guide books can never give you.
Jochen was awesome and super knowledgeable about Berlin’s and Germany’s History! He added a lot of depth and context to walking around and viewing the city. 100% percent worth the time and money!
This was the best investment in our trip that we could have made. Jochen was an incredible guide! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We never would have had the in-depth experience we had without this tour. It truly gave us insight into Berlin. I was incredibly impressed with his extensive knowledge of art, history, and Berlin. The tour was wonderful. His attention to detail is amazing. He even ensured we had time to stop and grab water and use the restroom. I cannot recommend this tour enough.
Jochen was our guide and we had such an amazing time! He was so knowledgeable and thorough, and he clearly is so passionate about his city! He was also extremely personable and was a pleasure to chat with. He made sure to consider restroom breaks and water stops. He also gave us awesome recommendations for things to do while in Berlin. 100% would book again!
The tour was very informative. Our guide Jochen had many interesting stories to tell and pictures to show during the tour.
Jochen was an excellent tour guide. The tour was really interesting and Jochen answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Berlin.
Our tour was really fascinating. Our guide Jochen was really great and answered all our questions. Time really well spent.
My husband and I took several tours during our trip through Europe, and Jochen was hands down the best guide we had. We joined his semi-private Third Reich, Hitler, and Cold War Berlin City walking tour, and what impressed me most was his ability to present such a complex and difficult period of history in a thoughtful, balanced, and engaging way. He clearly has an incredible depth of knowledge, but he never felt like he was simply reciting facts. Instead, he connected historical events, places, and people in a way that made the history feel real and relevant. As someone who loves history and has taken many guided tours over the years, I appreciated how he encouraged questions and discussion while providing historical context that went far beyond what you would learn from guidebooks alone. The tour was one of the highlights of our time in Berlin, and I left with a much deeper understanding of history and the lasting impact it continues to have on Germany today. Thank you, Jochen, for an outstanding experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Berlin. In fact, if I find myself back in Berlin, I will take his tour again!
