Nice place friendly and familiar atmosphere the menu delicious and above all good security
Quite efficient, lives up to promises, the chef prepared excellent food, we stopped to buy fish for dinner which he then cooked.
It was just what we wanted! It met and surpassed our expectations and it was great to have the space to ourselves. Gopal and Sukarma were really calm, friendly and treated us superbly. They were lovely, The food was delicious and bedroom really comfortable and bathroom with a hot shower was a bonus. All round a memorable experience and great to see the Backwaters being used to impact positively on people’s lives.
In general, we think folks can get a similar experience without an overnight trip. The food was just ok and the bathroom shower needed some fixing. Air conditioning was excellent. The service was the best part of this trip. We had a fellow named Sebastian on boat #9 who took excellent care of us. We did have the whole boat to ourselves but it’s not worth paying $200 each person for for one night. It should be said the fare includes 1 hour cab ride each way from Kochi to Allepuza and vice versa. So I would recommend looking into day trips
A sweet life along the canals. We had a houseboat for the 6 of us. Wonderful scenery. Great experience. Careful crew We chose our tiger prawns and our crabs directly from the fisherman and in the evening Johnny had prepared them divinely. Delicious meal on board. Comfort of the cabins is correct but the cleanliness of the micro shower room is crippling. Filthy tray, disgusting shower door, verdigris soap dish. I took the shower with my flip flops on. Damage
What a great experience! Floating down the river was so relaxing. We sat at the front of the boat and felt like VIPs as we watched the scenery go by while our fantastic crew attended to our every need. The meals on board were excellent. Our bedroom was cool at night. They stopped at Champakulam, a small town on the river, where we could shop for the usual tourist items. But the real attraction of that town was the St Mary's Basilica just beyond the tourist shops. Founded in the 400's, it's gorgeous inside, with painted walls and ceiling. Overall we had a wonderful time and felt like we really got to see Kerala We had one traumatic thing happen at the end of our trip. After we got off the houseboat, we had to take a water taxi to get to the dock where the cars were parked. Our luggage was on top of the taxi along with the garbage from our trip. At some point, the garbage bag flew off the taxi and into the river. We can only hope it was an accident.
One day, literally 18 hour experience on the back waters. crew was excellent, service was excellent, food was excellent, stateroom comfortable
We had the premium houseboat tour overnight from Alleppey. It was a very beautiful experience. Staff and premium boat for 2 persons where perfect. Nice sunbed balcony on the 2. Floor, where we spend most of the time. I think this is the best option for 1 night. Premium boat 2 persons. The surrounding ist very green and beauty. I recommend to choose the overnight tour.
A highlight of our trip for sure! Very peaceful trip with absolutely delicious food (customizable as well - we're vegan). Super comfy bed and top-notch service. Our guides and chef were really friendly and very professional. We could have spent even longer on the boat, it was fantastic!
2 nights in the house boat Getting away from the congested area The friendly staff Good food and nice walks
