We had a good day exploring the marine side of Kenya, a "blue safari," with our guide Francisco. We were picked up at our hotel in Diani at 7:30 am the morning and driven to the Kisite Marine Park where we met our boat. We had a chance to do dolphin spotting and there were a lot playing around our boat! The guide provided an African breakfast of tea, chipatis and beans. The snorkeling at the reef was really vibrant--long stretches of coral with fish. The guide swam along with us. After snorkeling we were provided a snack of fresh fruit and water. We saw even more dolphins on our way back to land. We visited the Shimoni slave caves. The local guide was knowledgeable and articulate. A sobering place. We saw the village of Shimoni and had a lunch of rabbit fish at a local restaurant with views of the water. It was all very authentic African! We were delivered to our hotel by 4pm. A fun day!
We had a wonderful day out at Kisite-Mpunguti, although our guides picked us up 45 minutes later than agreed. Once we got going though, the snorkeling was superb; we saw a huge variety of fish species. The only downside was that our guide swam quite fast, and there were a few spots where we would have liked to linger a bit longer to really take it all in. Another minor issue: we were only given one bottle of water to share between the four of us, which didn’t feel very hygienic. The Coral Garden was impressive, and so were the Slave Caves, a moving stop with a lot of history. We also had lunch at Yusfa Restaurant, which was delicious. All in all, a really successful day out. Four stars for the late pickup and the water-sharing situation, otherwise it would easily be five.
This is the best team to dive with As someone that cant even swim without a coach i have now managed to dive 2 times with them and the diving team is just perfect and 100% safe
Private boat trip...Was a very nice trip, accompanied by a good captain with knowledge of his trade and a very nice guide, with a lot of skills when snorkeling... we enjoyed a nice pure Kenyan breakfast on board and a giant freshly cut fruit dish.. provided by our captain.. Our lunch was excellent with fresher than fresh seafood.. For the doubters.. highly recommended!
It was a great day, with a fantastic warm personality vam the driver Jimmy who is very flexible and knows a lot about the surroundings and the beautiful country Kenya. Fantastic Nature & Culture combined with the Delightful Service of the tour staff, pampering you with delicious food while enjoying the stunning views of the beautiful beaches of Wasini and the dolphins swimming around you in the blue sea of Kisite National Park. Snorkeling, enjoying culture in a village on the island of Wasini after eating the fresh fish from the sea, to continue the way through the beautiful mangrove and coral reefs. To finish at the historic site with the dark past of the caves where lettuces were transported. This tour offers it all and the Service from the staff is excellent. I recommend this tour to everyone!
I am a solo female traveler and I wasn’t able to book the Watamu Marine Park and Sudi Island but I reached out to the company via their primary website and was able to book Kisite Marine Park & Wasini Island private excursion. It was an awesome experience. My guides Jimmy and Francis were great, patient, comforting and protective. The ocean was rough and waves were high but the captain was proficient and we had a safe hour boat ride to and from the island. The snorkeling was a bit scary after I sucked in a ton of salt water 😆 but before that happened I was doing pretty good. Nonetheless, Francis was right by my side keeping me safe. Anyway, this tour offered so much. I was with Jimmy from 0630 till a little after 8pm. We had a Kenyan breakfast on the boat, it was an hour boat ride to Kisite island, we stopped mid-way to snorkel. It was my first time snorkeling so far out into the ocean. Then a variety of fruits for a snack after snorkeling. We went to the island and had lunch. Luckily there was a nice clean washroom to clean up and change back into my clothes. I would have felt silly walking around with just my swimsuit on. Also, we had a nice hike to see the corals and mangrove trees. I would say it was about 2 miles of walking maybe less. Then back in the boat to go see the slave cave. Afterward, you’re offered a coconut to replenish from the heat. What a tour and definitely worth the money. Hopefully, this company will find a way to offer the Watamu Marine Park and Sudi Island for solo travelers until then this one will do.
Amazing day with Francis and Eric who were the best! The snorkelling was incredible, the food was really good and visiting the island and caves were really interesting. Highly recommend this trip.
Thank you very much to our guides Francis, Jimmy and the boat captain!! We had a dream day! Comfortable vehicle, very nice guides! Delicious breakfast on the shaded boat Snorkeling perfect and we had the chance to see the dolphins!!! We were able to jump into the water at the right time and I saw a dolphin 1m away from me!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Lunch was very good, local, fresh , on the island The guides treated us like princesses!!!!!! Everything was great thanks to them 🙏
Private tour, 2 friends. The driver was on time to pick us up. The driver and the guide were very nice and convenient. They did their best to allow us to live the greatest experience for that tour. The lunch at the restaurant on Wasini Island was very exotic and the walk on this island shows very how people live there. Very good team, thank you all.
The boat ride to get to the snorkeling spot was great. We had a typical lunch included. I liked it a lot, but the children less. We've seen dolphins. The snorkeling site was superb. The guide was with it. It was safe. However, they did not provide fins, only masks! Then dinner was really good (seafood and the possibility to order a lobster). Then, this is where it becomes less interesting with a walk in the village, in the big heat to show us mangroves. Then, return by boat to visit the slave caves that we did not make. We would have preferred to do more snorkeling, because that’s why we paid. The organization is very good and so is the taxi. The guides are kind and attentive.
