Muckross House se trouve au milieu d'une zone densément boisée de Muckross Demesne, qui s'étend sur 30 000 hectares. Le manoir a été construit en 1843 et a été conçu par William Burns. Les jardins de la maison sont composés de jardins de fleurs bien aménagés, de rocailles, d’arbustes et de pelouses s’étendant jusqu’aux prairies, des pinèdes majestueuses et au bord du lac. Les fermes traditionnelles vous transporteront à une époque en Irlande où la vie de famille était beaucoup plus simple.
Le château de Ross se dresse sur la rive est du Lough Lein, où il adopte une position dominante. Le château est très ancien et aurait été construit au 15ème siècle. Un escalier en colimaçon en pierre mène au sommet, d'où un magnifique panorama peut être vu.
La cathédrale Sainte-Marie a été conçue par A. W. N. Pugin (1812-1852). La première pierre fut posée en 1842 et les travaux de construction commencèrent et se poursuivirent pendant les années de famine. En 1853, de nombreux sans-abri étaient logés dans les allées terminées de l'église et, en vertu de la "loi sur l'évaluation de Griffiths", qui a été adoptée cette année-là, l'église était classée comme un lieu de travail auxiliaire.
Aghadoe, offre une vue magnifique sur les lacs et les montagnes. On peut y voir les ruines de l’ancienne église, qui porte les traces de deux périodes, généralement présumées être les VIIe et XIIe siècles.
Ladies View a reçu son nom lors de la visite de la reine Victoria en 1861 en Irlande. Ladies View offre une vue magnifique sur les vallées, les lacs et les collines, dont la Black Valley, les lacs Upper et Middle, McGillicuddy Reeks et Gap of Dunloe. C’est l’endroit idéal pour prendre des photos, le site inclut également le Ladies View Café.
Torc Waterfall est à environ 100 pieds du bord de la falaise au lit de la rivière, et est regardé par beaucoup avec une crainte merveilleuse. La montagne, regorgeant d'arbres, d'arbustes et de végétation, abrite la célèbre cascade de Torc, causée par le virage rapide à l'ouest de la rivière Torc, et qui tombe en cascade sur les flancs de la montagne dans un grand torrent rugissant, puis tourbillonne dans un courant rapide traversant de grands rochers et des rochers, retrouvant leur formation normale en rivière, s’enroulant jusqu’au lac Muckross.
Le parc national de Killarney fut le premier parc national d'Irlande. Il fut créé en 1932 lorsque Muckross Estate fut cédé à l'État libre d'Irlande. Le parc englobe plus de 102,89 km2 d'écologie variée, notamment les lacs de Killarney, des forêts de chênes et d'ifs d'importance internationale, et les sommets des montagnes. Il possède le seul troupeau de cerfs rouges d'Irlande continentale et la plus grande couverture de forêt indigène d'Irlande. Le parc a été désigné réserve de biosphère par l'UNESCO en 1981.

Our driver/guide Tony was great. He adjusted our itinerary to ensure we were able to make the most of our day despite afternoon showers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and experiences exploring all the National park sites and were able to create amazing memories as well as capture pictures to commemorate our time.
Mr. William was an excellent representative of Kerry Taxi Tours. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. We had the best time and plan to come back with more relatives. I would highly recommend this company and this tour.
Billy was our tour guide and he knocked it out of the park! We didn't have cooperating weather in the morning and he adjusted the tour to ensure we had a great experience regardless. We still saw the sites listed which we appreciated! He also came prepared with extra water, large umbrellas, binoculars, and great knowledge! He also stopped at multiple sites to get breathtaking sites along the way we wouldn't have seen without his expertise. He even noticed a sheep dog demonstration happening close by and he stopped so we could see it which was fantastic! He really put thought and effort in this tour so we could have a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!!

this tour was for my in-laws. the tour operator Bill was amazing, there was a last minute change to the pick up site that he was able to accommodate as well as providing valuable insight to the locations listed. My in laws absolutely loved this tour and rated it as their top experience in the southern part of Ireland and Killarney.

We were never picked up waited more than 1 hour and was told the tour was overbooked we called a Taxi and made our own day calling a taxi to go to each destination. The service rep I spoke with was very rude and had no concern of our situation.
Hi, In response to your review there are a number of false claims made , to deal with your last claim first I spoke with you and was not rude, in fact you forgot to mention that I advised you as to the steps you needed to take to receive a full refund which I can see from booking agent account you did receive a full refund , interesting that you should omit this fact. The morning I spoke to you I pointed out to you that we had never accepted you booking knowing that we were fully booked for that week, this information was sent to your booking agent immediately on receipt of your form, this information was also sent to you directly by text and voice mail to the telephone number you provided on your form ,it was also sent to you by email through the facility provided on the booking agent web site, I have once again read this email which stated we were not accepting this booking "due to circumstances beyond our control" at no time mentioning the word "overbooked "used in fact the tour you booked was a private tour as are all our tours, we do not cater for mixed group tours making it impossible to overbook a tour I am sorry if you had a poor experience but can state beyond and doubt that it was not of our making and I am happy in the knowledge that we provide a first class private tour service. Finally Theresa to sum up I feel your confusion lies between you and your email/phone and booking agent as we do not pick up people for tours we do not have confirmed bookings for. Kerry Taxi Tours.

I'm so glad that we did a tour rather than trying to navigate the roads ourselves. Brian was a fantastic tour guide and filled us in on so much great history that we would not have known otherwise. Some of the roads are pretty narrow and windy as well, so having someone else drive meant that we could all enjoy the scenery.
